Our team works on a variety of technologies ranging from high throughout, real-time communications systems to deep statistical libraries to large-scale machine learning training pipelines. 

The role

We are hiring a Data Science Manager to lead the development of innovative data science applications. Our vision is to build a world-class team dedicated to developing our Marketing facing machine learning products. As a Data Science Manager, you'll lead a cross functional team of data scientists, machine learning engineers & data engineers who work together to build innovative data products in an agile, highly collaborative environment. You will have the opportunity to hire the technical resources, create & own the vision for machine learning applied to billions of dollars of marketing spend, & make applications of new technologies for AI & ML a reality.

What you'll do:

• Manage & mentor a team of data scientists, data engineers, & machine learning engineers within our Global ML & AI team
• Improve, deploy & maintain our existing lifetime value models, which are used to steer billions of dollars of marketing spend.
• Translate business needs into clearly scoped data science projects, & take a hands-on approach to steer solution design & implementation
• Steer the work of the team with a results-focused approach to prioritization, while maintaining a balance of velocity & quality.
• Lead hiring for the team 
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends & best practices in data science & share insights with the team

What you'll bring:

• A degree (Ph.D., MSc, BSc) in a quantitative field such as Physics, Statistics, Mathematics, Operations Research, Econometrics, Computer Science, Engineering or related
• Strong, proven track record solving complex business problems with machine learning within a fast-paced business
• Formal or informal experience managing & developing a team focused on developing machine learning solutions
• Experience in solving machine learning problems with modern machine learning software stack (Python, Tensorflow, Pytorch, Spark) as well as modern machine learning algorithm stack (Transformers, Graph Neural Networks, boosted decision trees, GenAI, statistical inference)
• Familiarity with cloud development environments (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Solid grasp of advanced statistical concepts (e.g., Bayesian statistics; multilevel & generalized linear models; timeseries; bootstrapping)
• Experience with agile methodologies like Scrum & Kanban & proficiency in using project management tools

Base salary NYC: 150.000 - 237.000 USD with an additional 24% of equity on top
