The Director of Corporate Finance will play a critical role in driving corporate-level planning initiatives to support the company's strategic objectives. You will work closely with the CFO & executive team to manage the company's planning cycle, conduct financial analysis, & present strategic insights to inform key business decisions. You will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to ensure financial decisions align with the company's long-term vision & operational needs. Additionally, you will actively participate in capital raises, board reporting, & support the Board of Directors on related financial matters.
This is a hybrid role working from our NYC office three days per week. You will report to the Senior Director of FP&A.
You'll Get To
- Corporate Planning & Strategy
- Lead the company's budgeting, forecasting, & long range planning cycles
- Develop & refine the company's three statement financial models
- Collaborate with the Senior Director of FP&A & the CFO to manage the corporate planning process, addressing future capital requirements in alignment with the company's growth & strategic goals.
- Support corporate capital raises by working closely with internal leadership, the Senior Director of FP&A, & third-party advisors to secure necessary capital.
- Partner with appropriate business stakeholders to drive improvements in headcount planning process & related investments.
- Board & Investor Reporting
- Support the preparation of materials for Board meetings, providing financial insights & updates on key capital planning initiatives & corporate performance.
- Assist in the preparation of internal executive communications & external board reporting, providing clear & concise financial story & reporting & strategic recommendations.
- Ad-Hoc Projects & Strategic Scenarios
- Partner with the Senior Director of FP&A & the executive team on ad-hoc projects, including investment scenarios & corporate strategy initiatives.
- Support special projects, such as M&A related, ensuring that key financial considerations are integrated into decision-making processes.
- Team Leadership & Development
- Manage, mentor, & develop a team of FP&A professionals, fostering a culture of high performance.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring best practices in financial planning & analysis.
- Champion a culture of accountability, transparency, & data-driven decision-making within the finance team.
Who We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree.
- 12+ years of experience in strategic finance, corporate finance, or investment banking, with at least 6 years in a leadership role.
- Strong expertise in capital planning, financial modeling, & corporate capital structures.
- Experience in preparing reports & presentations for Boards & senior leadership teams.
- Proven ability to manage investor relations & support financial decision-making processes.
- Exceptional communication & presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial concepts clearly to diverse audiences.
- Strong analytical & strategic thinking skills, with the ability to drive results & manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.

Cash Compensation Range: $203,500 - $275,000 USD
The base salary for this position will vary based on job-related criteria including relevant skills, experience, & location, among other factors.
In addition to the cash compensation above (which includes base salary and, where applicable for eligible roles, may include on-target commissions or overtime pay), Squarespace employees are eligible to be granted an option to purchase our common stock.
