Senior Software Engineer II

Location: New York, NY

Hybrid: 3x per week on site

Position Overview 

We are seeking an experienced software engineer to join our talented full-stack team responsible for enabling clients to successfully activate & operate DoubleVerifys rich suite of products. Youll develop scalable & reliable backend services fueling DV's client-facing user interfaces & operational processes. We are a tech company at heart, addressing complex challenges & innovating to use the best technology & practices for the task at hand on a daily basis. The team is a cross-company focal point & user experience oriented, & as such youll be closely coordinating & working with multiple development, product, & client services teams.

This position is full-time & located in our New York City headquarters offices offering a hybrid work model from office & remote.

What you will do:

• Design & develop robust microservices built with .NET Core, & Python. The services are integrated with various systems including Salesforce, databases & internal APIs.
• Design, develop & document APIs to be used by partners & other development teams.
• Design, implement, & optimize databases to support application needs.
• Test & optimize code developed both by you & by other team members.
• Continuously release features using automated deployment tools & framework through Infra-As-Code.
• Work in a fast paced, agile environment, collaborating with team members & Product Managers on a daily basis & participating in product meetings. 
• Implement application observability to enhance code integrity & support throughout the development & release processes
• Actively participate in code reviews & system design discussions.

Who you are:

• You have at least 6 years of backend software engineering experience
• You are familiar with all aspects of SDLC; you know what the best practices are & follow them in your work.
• You are experienced with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) & CI/CD ( e.g. Gitlab CI/CD, terraform, vault) focused on automating deployments & optimizing processes.
• You have an extensive experience programming in .NET & working with C# or a similar language.
• Strong experience with both relational & non-relational databases ( e.g. MongoDb, MS SQLServer)
• You understand the principles of building high-performance large-scale distributed systems & have experience building such systems.
• You are familiar with modern microservice architecture & web-based/REST APIs.
• Strong experience with containerization (Docker/k8s) & Kafka.
• Salesforce experience is a plus.
• Experience & understanding of frontend/UI development is a plus.
• Familiarity with the AdTech industry is not required, but is a big plus.

The successful candidates starting salary will be determined based on a number of non-discriminating factors, including qualifications for the role, level, skills, experience, location, & balancing internal equity relative to peers at DV.
The estimated salary range for this role based on the qualifications set forth in the job description is between [$102,000- $202,000]. This role will also be eligible for bonus/commission (as applicable), equity, & benefits.
