About the Role

We're looking for a Senior Marketing Operations Manager to join our marketing team to help ensure that our efforts run with extreme precision & ease.

You love structure, processes, data, & tooling. You dont love it just because its cool (trust us, we believe its cool), you love it because of how it can help teams increase performance. As our Senior Marketing Operations Manager, youll work within all of these areas while supporting our teams, quarterly projects & driving your projects from beginning to end. This role will play an important role in shaping our marketing technology stack & marketing automation architecture to help us scale our marketing programs & processes.

To be eligible for this role, you must be located in New York, NY or Austin, TX & will be expected to go into the office Mondays, Tuesdays & Thursdays. 

You Will

  • Oversee the end-to-end email production process in Marketo, encompassing planning, asset creation, audience segmentation, campaign execution, & performance analysis.
  • Collaborate closely with our Demand Gen & Field Marketing teams.
  • Architect & optimize nurture strategies & integrate it with our broader audience marketing approach.
  • Maintain & improve revenue-critical systems & infrastructure: account scoring, routing, enrichment, SLA tracking & funnel metrics reporting
  • Research, evaluate & implement tools & technology that will enable campaign innovation & improve performance.  
  • Document & maintain best practices guides & checklists to share across the team & company to enable your talented teammates. 

The Expectations

In your first 30 days, you will assess where we are with our data analytics effort & where we need to be. We believe that it's important for you to take this first month to become familiar with our technology & our company.

After 3 months, you'll be fully integrated into the team & will take the lead on our data analytics tooling, dashboards & optimize how we centralize data. You will own our BI reporting (Looker) & support leadership with critical analysis & recommendations that will make a material impact on how the Marketing team impacts company revenue. By this point, you will start to provide marketing operations consulting, strategic advice, & support to leaders across the team.

You Have

  • 6-8+ years of marketing operations or similar experience with 3+ years experience working for or in a B2B enterprise go-to-market tech company
  • Deep understanding of marketing technology (Marketo, Salesforce) & other Martech ABM tools
  • Expertise in building high performing & scalable email & cross-channel nurture programs, with deep understanding of nurture best practices, metrics & optimization tactics
  • Strong project management skills & attention to detail
  • An entrepreneurial self-starter attitude & youre a proactive communicator

The annual anticipated base salary range for U.S. candidates for this role is USD $120,000 to $170,000, plus commission if a sales role. We set standard ranges for all U.S.-based roles based on function, level, & geographic location, benchmarked against similar stage growth companies. In order to be compliant with local legislation, as well as to provide greater transparency to candidates, we share salary ranges on all job postings regardless of desired hiring location.  Actual salaries may vary & fall outside of this range depending on factors such as a candidates qualifications, geographic location, skills, experience, & competencies. In addition, we are often open to a wide variety of profiles, & recognize that the person we hire may be less experienced (or more senior) than this job description as posted. Salary is one component of the Cockroach Labs total rewards package, which includes stock options, health insurance, life & disability insurance, funds towards professional development resources, flexible PTO, paid holidays, & parental leave, to name a few! Salaries for candidates outside the U.S. will vary based on local compensation structures.
