About the Position
Specializes in providing pre-sales technical support for the development & implementation of complex products, applications, solutions. Uses in-depth product knowledge to provide technical expertise to sales staff & customer in sales presentations & product demonstrations. Utilize deep understanding of technology in the storage industry to assess customer needs, build strong business cases for product, & tackle customer issues. Build rapport with potential & current customers, & also become a trusted advisor for customers.
Responsibilities
- Guide content of sales presentations through deep understanding of nuances of customer verticals.
- Understand all technical needs of prospective customers.
- Submit activity reports & maintain current SalesForce records.
- Establish Try & Buy accounts & test plans, helping customers set up & implement our product in their environment.
- Act as a beacon for industry standards, researching & reporting changes in products, service, & policy, & evaluating results & competitive developments.
- Champion the needs of the customers through investigating problems & developing solutions.
- Maintain professional & technical knowledge by through independent research, attending workshops, & cultivating networks.
- Collect & maintain data to guide & inform future sales & business decisions.
- Performs other related duties as assigned
Minimum Role Requirements
- Requires a minimum of 12 years of related experience with a Bachelors degree; or equivalent experience.
- Backup / Archive product knowledge such as Commvault, Symantec, etc.
- Deep understanding storage platform technologies such as SAN & NAS.
- Working knowledge of the following operating systems: Window XP, 7, 8, Server R2. Unix (Redhat, Ubuntu, Centos).
- Strong Presentation skills.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft products (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Visio).
- Active TS/SCI Clearance required
Key Benefits
The annual pay range for the role is USD $200,000 - $285,000. This role has the opportunity to earn variable incentive compensation depending on the terms of the applicable plan.\
Individual pay depends on various factors, such as role level, relevant experience & skills, & location. Pay ranges are reviewed & typically updated each year. Offers are made within the pay range applicable at the time.
