About the Role 

iCapital is looking for a Business Intelligence Data Engineer to join the Data & Analytics team. This role is responsible for implementing business intelligence & operational reporting across iCapital. This individual will report to the Head of Business Intelligence at iCapital.  

Responsibilities 

• Work with a cross section of iCapital Business professionals to implement new reporting & business intelligence dashboards to drive mission critical decision making & insights across Finance, Operations, Marketing, Sales, & Executive Management.
• Work closely with our Finance, Sales, Product, Architecture, Engineering, & other business units across the firm to:
• Develop an understanding of & work to enhance our evolving data model.
• Gather requirements, design solutions & implement new reporting solutions.
• Partner with the head of business intelligence & others across the firm to:
• Continuously expand the use of data driven analytics.
• Further systematize the Business Intelligence process.
• Expand the self-service Business Intelligence & Reporting capabilities to additional areas of iCapital.

Qualifications 

• Strong analytical, critical thinking, & problem solving skills
• Detail-oriented, naturally curious, & willing to question the status quo to understand business needs
• Proactive, autonomous, & be able to recognize when help is needed 
• Experience with gathering requirements & implementing solutions in a systematic way
• Intermediate SQL competency
• 5-10 years experience using Business Intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau is a plus)
• Strong communications skills & the ability to liaise between senior business & technical engineering professionals
• Understanding & experience with data modeling, relational databases, conceptual & physical data models
• Familiar with core data governance principles, data stewardship, traceability, lineage
• Project management experience is a plus
• Prior experience in the financial services domain is a plus
• Familiar with Machine Learning & Large Language Models is a plus
• Technical degree background (math, computer science, engineering, management information systems) is a plus
• Bachelors Degree with 3-5+ years of previous work experience in a data related role

Benefits 

The base salary range for this role is $130,000 to $180,000 depending on level. iCapital offers a compensation package which includes salary, equity for all full-time employees, & an annual performance bonus.
