The Squarespace Finance team is looking for an Accountant to join our NYC office. You will play a key part in both the month-end close & the transformation of our financial reporting processes through automation.

You'll lead process & system initiatives that streamline workflows & improve the accuracy & efficiency of our close. This is a great opportunity to apply your accounting expertise to strengthen financial reporting at a growing company.

This is a hybrid role, working from our NYC office three days per week. You'll report directly to the Senior Accountant.

You'll Get To...

• Support the accounting team with daily & monthly functions, ensuring transactions are processed in accordance with GAAP.
• Manage fixed assets, including maintaining the subledger, tracking additions & disposals, recording depreciation, & preparing rollforwards.
• Perform month-end close activities across multiple financial statement line items.
• Help prepare financial reporting requests.
• Gain an understanding of business processes & connect them to financial results.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency & propose process enhancements.
• Document close procedures following internal control requirements.
• Support annual audit & quarterly review preparation.

Who We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting (CPA eligibility preferred).
• 2+ years of hands-on experience with month-end close or related experience in public accounting.
• 1+ years of experience with NetSuite or another large ERP system.

Cash Compensation Range: $70,500 - $113,850 USD

The base salary for this position will vary based on job-related criteria including relevant skills, experience, & location, among other factors.

In addition to the cash compensation above (which includes base salary and, where applicable for eligible roles, may include on-target commissions or overtime pay), Squarespace employees are eligible to be granted an option to purchase our common stock.
