The Sourcing Manager will support sourcing & procurement strategies for Glossier, ensuring operational excellence, cost efficiency, & resiliency. This role will report directly to the Sr. Director of Product Operations. The Sourcing Manager will foster a robust spirit of collaboration with its internal partners in Quality, Program Management & Supply Chain as well as cross-functional product partners in Product Development, Packaging Developing, Creative, Marketing & Finance. The primary responsibilities of this leader will be to identify & maintain high-quality vendor partnerships that support the overall values & business objectives of Glossier for our finished goods & packaging solutions.This individual will partner with the Sr. Director of Product Ops to act as the internal champions for cost savings, margin & process improvements.
Six Month Expectations
- Track & analyze Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to evaluate supplier performance & ensure consistent achievement of quality, cost, delivery & customer service targets.
- Regularly assess suppliers for their lead time adherence, & work with the Supply Chain team to clearly define date fields, & ensure the measurement is fair & accurate.
- Work closely with our Data team to ensure key inputs are maintained & updated in our respective planning systems.
- Champion the newly revised vendor onboarding process in partnership with the Product & Packaging Development teams.
- In partnership with the Sr. Director of Product Ops & cross-functional leads, facilitate Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) with strategic suppliers with a focus on stronger supplier relationships & accountability.
- Support global sourcing strategies to enhance supply chain resiliency & mitigate geopolitical risk.
- Drive cost savings initiatives through supplier negotiations & optimizing operational efficiencies.
- Partner with Product Development & Marketing teams to support innovation pipelines & deliver on-time, successful product launches.
- Collaborate with Operations & Quality teams to resolve issues & uphold product excellence.
Twelve+ Month Expectations
- Monitor market trends, industry advancements, & supply chain risks to proactively identify opportunities & mitigate potential challenges.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, & financial reporting for sourcing-related activities.
- Champion sustainable sourcing practices that align with Glossiers commitment to social & environmental responsibility.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in sourcing or procurement within the beauty or consumer packaged goods (CPG) industry.
- Experience managing international supplier relationships.
- Strong knowledge of packaging materials, manufacturing processes, & supplier landscapes.
- Excellent verbal & written communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all organizational levels.
- Proven negotiation skills & experience managing supplier contracts & partnerships.
- Experience driving cost savings initiatives & managing budgets.
- Ability to analyze data, identify trends, & make strategic recommendations.
- Proficiency in Excel, ERP systems, & other supply chain management tools.
In accordance with the applicable law, the following represents a good faith estimate of the minimum & maximum compensation range for this position:
- The estimated annual pay range for this role is $85,000-$110,000
- There may be future opportunities for continued pay progression based on continued strong performance in the role.
