We are looking for an experienced Staff Software Engineer to join our API & Data Delivery Team.  You will play a central role in architecting, building & managing critical systems in distilling & delivering large data sets, working with teammates & clients to solve high-impact, real-world problems.

Were looking for someone who:

• Builds scalable, highly-available, high-throughput, highly maintainable systems, deployed in cloud environments
• Solves problems with containers, cloud infrastructure & infrastructure as code (we use Docker, AWS & Terraform)
• Has a can-do attitude & doesnt flinch when faced with a challenge, no matter how large or small
• Prides themselves on writing highly readable, thoroughly tested code
• Gets excited when working as part of a motivated, collaborative team
• Identifies problems that others arent seeing & makes sure they get solved
• Is driven to work with customers to have an impact on the real world
• Inspires their teammates to perform at their best while building a collaborative, supportive team culture
• Effectively manages responsibilities for architecture & design decisions, hands-on implementation, team organization & technical mentorship
• Has engineering management experience (ideally)

Our ideal candidate:

• Has 8+ years of software engineering experience with 2+ years of technical leadership experience
• Enjoys collaborating with cross-functional partners (product managers, other engineers, our client stakeholders) to set clear expectations & solve common problems
• Is driven to work with customers to have an impact on the real world

Bonus points if you:

• Have an outstanding track record of leading engineering teams
• Have extensive experience engineering SaaS data products

Salary Range: $180,000-$240,000

A note on salary ranges: we pride ourselves on paying competitively for our size & industry. Salary is one piece of a total Enigma compensation package that includes additional benefits & opportunities. All of our compensation packages include equity because we believe 100% of Enigma employees should have the option to purchase ownership in the company & benefit from the value were creating together.
