We are looking for a strategic & experienced Senior Manager, People Operations to lead & refine our People Operations team. You will help shape & scale key people processes, ensuring efficiency, compliance, & adaptability to support business growth. You have a deep understanding of HR operations, experience managing a successful shared service function, & a passion for continuous improvement, driving seamless processes, systems, & policies that enhance the employee experience.
You will report directly to the Head of People Operations & will be based in our New York headquarters operating on a hybrid schedule.
You'll Get To...
- Lead, mentor, & develop a high-performing People Operations team, promoting collaboration, accountability, & continuous skill growth.
- Establish best practices & cultivate a culture of operational excellence to enhance the employee experience.
- Oversee daily People Operations processes (Recruit to Retire), ensuring scalability, compliance, & efficiency.
- Create operational excellence across HR functions, including benefits, employee relations, global mobility, payroll, & compensation.
- Partner with Centers of Excellence(HR, Legal, Talent & Payroll) to identify opportunities to expand shared services & enhance HR operations.
- Ensure data accuracy & integrity across HR systems, maintaining high standards for data governance.
- Maintain process documentation to support clarity, consistency, & autonomy
- Monitor SLAs, & ticket volumes, implementing improvements to enhance the employee experience & reduce support requests.
- Perform regular audits with a focus on operational excellence
- Introduce & implement programs that align with company culture while improving operational efficiency & employee satisfaction.
- Leverage HR analytics to drive data-driven decision-making & strategic workforce planning.
- Develop governance structures following HR guidelines to ensure smooth integration of new processes & system enhancements.
- Communicate priorities, roadmaps, & key updates to stakeholders, leading end-user training & managing system adoption, ensuring transparency & alignment.
- Collaborate with HRIS teams to optimize JIRA & Workday for automation, knowledge management, & case handling.
Who We're Looking For
- 10+ years of experience in HR operations, shared services, project/system implementation, or change management.
- 5+ years of people management experience, managing diverse & geographically dispersed teams. (Experience in USA & Ireland preferred)
- Expert proficiency with JIRA & Workday, including process optimization & re-engineering.
- Strong analytical mindset with a data-driven approach to decision-making & continuous improvement.
- High attention to detail & confidentiality in handling sensitive HR data.
- In-depth understanding of HR & talent processes, with experience designing & testing workflows & reports.
- Ability to multitask & manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Cash Compensation Range: $153,500 - $247,250 USD
The base salary for this position will vary based on job-related criteria including relevant skills, experience, & location, among other factors.
In addition to the cash compensation above (which includes base salary and, where applicable for eligible roles, may include on-target commissions or overtime pay), Squarespace employees are eligible to be granted an option to purchase our common stock.
