Role Description

Dropbox is growing & were looking for an Engineering Manager to join our Developer Productivity team. In this role, you'll lead a team of 8-10 engineers, working closely with your direct reports, product teams,  and other engineering teams to build the future of Developer Infrastructure & Developer experience at Dropbox.   • You will be responsible for growing & developing a geographically distribute team of incredibly hardworking & motivated engineers with high expectations around individual ownership & impact.
  • You will develop a healthy & collaborative culture that embodies Dropbox's values.
  • You will ensure your team delivers extraordinary output, & continuously seeks ways to make an outsized impact.
  • You will set direction for the team, anticipate strategic & scaling-related challenges via thoughtful long-term planning.
  • You will help craft technical strategy & roadmap for developer infrastructure at Dropbox.

Requirements

  • BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field involving coding (e.g., physics or mathematics), or equivalent technical experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of people management experience with an engineering team
  • Experience building & leading large scale or high performance infrastructure systems & teams
  • Experience as a software developer
  • Located in the Eastern or Central timezone

Dropbox takes a number of factors into account when determining individual starting pay, including job & level they are hired into, location/metropolitan area, skillset, & peer compensation.  We target most new hire offers between the minimum up to the middle of the range. Dropbox is a Virtual First company & is open to hiring candidates in all authorized locations. However, for this role, the locations posted are preferred.

Salary/OTE is just one component of Dropboxs total rewards package. All regular employees are also eligible for the corporate bonus program or a sales incentive (target included in OTE) as well as stock in the form of Restricted Stock Units (RSUs).

Current Salary/OTE Ranges (Subject to change):
US Zone 1: $210,800 - $248,000 - $285,200.
US Zone 2: $189,700 - $223,200 - $256,700.
US Zone 3: $168,600 - $198,400 - $228,200.
 
Dropbox uses the zip code of an employees remote work location to determine which metropolitan pay range we use. Current US Zone locations are as follows:
US Zone 1: San Francisco metro, New York City metro, or Seattle metro
US Zone 2: Austin (TX) metro, Chicago metro, California (outside SF metro), Colorado, Connecticut (outside NYC metro), Delaware, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New York (outside NYC metro), Oregon, Pennsylvania (outside NYC or DC metro), Washington (outside Seattle metro), Washington DC metro & West Virginia (DC metro)
US Zone 3: All other US locations
