Critical Mass' Internship opportunities are part of our Trailhead Program & will provide a 12-week jump-start to your career. The program is a fast-track to launch your career through regular learning opportunities, mentorship, client work exposure, while also getting paid. We aim to show you all the amazing work we do here at Critical Mass, & to support you as part of the team! You will have the opportunity to try the digital agency world through multiple internship & client projects to see if it's for you! 

Our Internship will run from May 21-August 9, 2024.

The DE&I Intern will work closely with the DE&I Core team & the DE&I Board & report directly to the Director of DE&I. This is an exciting & necessary role that will be responsible for assisting with the organization & administration of relevant DE&I programming, training, & other global strategies to continue fostering an equitable, diverse, & inclusive workplace for the agency. 

You Will:

  • Support DE&I Board initiatives, bringing ideas & helping to ideate alongside the DE&I Advisor & Affinity Group Leads all under the guidance of the Director of DE&I (ie helping to coordinate in-office social events, virtual speaker engagements, community building, & volunteering opportunities) 
  • Assist with the coordination & scheduling of current programs, DE&I (virtual) meetings, affinity group meetings (full groups & leadership), & relevant DE&I events or programming.  
  • Help create visual assets for in-office flyers, social posts, & other communications.
  • Update & maintain various sections of DE&I materials (including the events calendar, the language on programs & partnerships, photo galleries, & meeting minutes).
  • Assist with other DE&I needs as necessary.

You Have:

  • A fervent desire to build community.
  • A healthy curiosity about diversity, equity, inclusion, & belonging. 
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly & effectively, both orally & in writing. This includes editing work for spelling & grammar, with a high attention to detail.
  • Capacity to organize & prioritize multiple projects, meeting & communicating around deadlines & successfully managing the daily workload. 
  • Intermediate knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, Microsoft Office (word, excel, teams) & Apple Keynote, to produce quality visual & written communications, including presentations & reporting.
  • Passion to work effectively with others cooperatively, to accomplish work & participate in team efforts. 
  • Proven aptitude to represent the company with professionalism & honesty, consistently acting in an ethical manner.

The salary range for this role, based in New York, is $21.00 per hour and we continually review ranges to address skills, experience & markets.  Base salaries are determined during our interview process, by assessing a number of factors that include, but arent limited to, a candidates experience & skills relative to the scope & responsibilities of the position.
