The Associate Manager Inventory Control is an expert in our inventory systems & processes, responsible for making sure our systems accurately reflect the flow of goods from the moment a purchase order is placed to the time our product ends up in a customers hands. This person leads, documents, & supports projects to improve our operational & system processes, ensuring were performing at the very highest levels of accuracy & control around our inventory. Additionally, the person in this role partners with the Accounting team to ensure timelines & tasks for our month-end inventory close process are clearly assigned & executed.
What youll do:
- Execute the month-end close process for Inventory Control, approving all adjustments & partnering with Accounting on key financial processes, such as inventory reserves
- Lead regular reconciliations of inventory counts, purchasing, damages, & other key inventory transactions
- Support projects to improve the accuracy of our inventory data, partnering with our Technology team to resolve any system issues
- Consult on strategic projects & day-to-day operations, ensuring all processes adhere to sufficient controls & minimize risk
- Document operational projects that impact inventory, partnering with our Planning, Accounting, Retail, Manufacturing, & Inventory Management teams to identify areas of improvement
Who you are:
- Backed by 3+ years of experience in both operational & financial inventory processes, including familiarity with quarterly & annual audits
- Equipped with experience owning key parts of the financial inventory close
- An analytical thinker who can focus on the details without losing sight of the big picture
- An expertly organized, process-oriented person with uncharted attention to detail (almostalmost!to a fault)
- A clear, concise written communicator
- A highly collaborative team player whos no stranger to working cross-functionally
- Not on the Office of Inspector Generals List of Excluded Individuals/Entities (LEIE)
