The Associate will support improving our transportation strategic initiatives to enhance processes within our Logistics Operations Center team. Responsibilities include transportation scheduling, tracking line hauls, negotiating spot market freight, managing exceptions & communicating cross-functionally to create seamless shipping execution across our network. You will be asked to travel up to 20% within the United States.

You will ...

• Report to the Associate Manager / Manager to manage, monitor & develop recovery plans for outbound loads
• Execute outbound strategy - working across all distribution centers, third-party storage locations, cross docks, & vendors
• Monitor, measure, & improve service level metrics, including on-time arrival & on-time departure
• Determine root causes & ensure details of escalations are provided & accurate
• Execute relabeling of boxes from label generation to pushing customer communication updates
• Quickly & effectively analyze real-time data to provide recovery & contingency action plans
• Run the daily Exception Management process, communicating potential delays & assigning boxes to be re-made, with the goal of protecting the customer experience
• Track, organize, log & root cause major exceptions events; analyzing the impact of these events to weekly error data
• Solve unique & challenging problems faced in a perishable supply chain
• Become part of a passionate team that strives to develop innovative solutions to improve & grow HelloFreshs delivery network
• Build relationships with third-party carriers & execute plans to secure loads against forecasted volume
• Work directly with our outbound transportation team to lead & reinforce operational process improvement projects

You have...

• Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Economics, Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, Accounting, or other relevant areas of study required
• 2 years of experience delivering analytical solutions to complex problems required
• Ability to travel up to 20% within the United States required
• Experience working with transportation management software preferred
• Flexible in working a non M-F work schedule (e.g. rotational schedule, weekends, and/or overnights). Must be able to work the shift: Sunday-Wednesday from 8am-6pm,  CST in Irving OR Wednesday-Saturday from 8am-6pm EST in Newark.
