THE ROLE: Senior Director, Accounting

As the Senior Director Accounting, youll report to the VP, Controller & have direct oversight of the general ledger & accounting operations on a day-to-day basis. Additionally, youll coach, develop, & lead a team of Accountants.

Youll lean into your strategic & consultative approach to drive impact as a key business partner & uncover opportunities/ tease out solutions that focus on incremental process improvement & efficiency.

Last, but certainly not least, in partnership with your Corporate Finance peers, youll seek out opportunities to increase Rue Gilt Groupes ability to anticipate business fluctuations & drive informed decision-making.

What You'll Do:

• Oversight & management of the general accounting function which includes all aspects of financial reporting including Revenue/Accounts Receivable, COGS/Inventory & Operating Expenses.
• Oversee & ensure efficient & timely month-end, quarterly & year-end close process which includes balance sheet reconciliations & analysis.
• Partner with Finance, Operations and other cross-functional teams to collect & share data to assist in presenting complete & accurate financial records.
• Provide guidance & coaching with a focus on skill development, collaboration, & empowerment to think creatively & drive innovation.

• Bachelors degree in Finance and/or Accounting required
• Masters Degree/CPA strongly preferred
• Minimum 10-12 years of experience gained in a combination of Big 4 public accounting and/or retail company
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Retail or Consumer Markets preferred
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP, internal controls & financial reporting required
• Excellent analytical & problem-solving skills
• Well organized & capable of managing multiple projects in dynamic fast-paced environment
• Ability to communicate effectively with both internal & external stakeholders
