Hi, we're Oscar. We're hiring a Senior Manager, People Strategy to join our People Strategy team.

About the role

As a Senior Manager, People Strategy you will empower departmental leaders in achieving their department goals. You will support leaders in aligning their strategic outcomes to broader company objectives & ensure that the right roadmaps, management processes & talent are in place to achieve outcomes. You will develop a deep understanding of the technology organization's operations, allowing you to assess their effectiveness, as well as provide feedback & insight on the function, functional leader & team performance. You will be a strategic thought partner to technology leaders as they work through human capital processes, connect dots & build stakeholder alignment across the organization. 

You will report to a Director, People Strategy.

This is a hybrid position in our New York City office (in Hudson Square) & you will be expected to come into the office at least two days each week. #LI-Hybrid

Pay Transparency:

The base pay for this role is: $131,200 - $172,200 per year. You are also eligible for employee benefits, participation in Oscar's unlimited vacation program & annual performance bonuses.

Responsibilities

  • Assist leaders with the development & maintenance of departmental strategy including mid-level outcomes, stakeholder management, management processes, etc. 
  • Support leaders in driving overall talent strategy & talent management for department.
  • Be proactive & anticipate change, providing critical & timely input about consequences & implications of local law & best practices to all internal stakeholders.
  • Support & train managers to coach their team & take disciplinary actions if needed; counseling managers.
  • Influence senior leadership through synthesized themes & business needs.
  • Provide strategic insight to leadership to enable them to see around corners.
  • Be a consistent thought partner on a broad set of issues, providing ongoing feedback. 
  • Support a culture of trust, promoting open & honest communication. Train & coach managers & employees on best practices & adhering to company values.
  • Partner cross functionally within the People team on the development & change management of new programming & assist in facilitating ongoing programming with business stakeholders.
  • Work with managers to maintain efficient organizational structures. 
  • Compliance with all applicable laws & regulations. 
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • 6+ years work experience of People Team Experience.
  • 4+ years experience with leadership principles, frameworks, & industry practices related to team performance such as talent management, professional development, organizational design, workforce planning.

Bonus Points

  • Human Resources Professional Certification (e.g., PHR, SPHR, SHRM).
  • Consulting skills.
  • Workday experience.

Pay Transparency:  Final offer amounts, within the base pay set forth above, are determined by factors including your relevant skills, education, & experience.
