As the Policy & Moderation Lead you will focus on developing & driving strategy for our guideline moderation & legal programs. You will be accountable for initiative success across the T&S team including operationalizing regulatory requirements, implementing changes to guideline policy, & advising on transparency reporting. Youll need to collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Design, Data & Analytics, & others to represent the T&S perspective & influence prioritization. Youll be responsible for leveraging data to generate insights & make recommendations.

What youll do:

  • Develop & socialize guideline moderation & legal / regulatory operational strategy to support the broader T&S mission & long-term vision
  • Steer program direction for the content policy & moderation program
    • Formulate, organize & monitor inter-connected projects
    • Prioritize competing needs effectively
    • Apply change, risk & resource management
  • Drive projects & initiatives to completion, specifically implementation of new legal & regulatory requirements, & changes to guideline policy
  • Develop an evaluation method to assess program strengths & identify areas for improvement
  • Field & reply-to sensitive and/or escalated user communications
  • Collaborate with Content & Policy Moderation Product Manager, the CPM Engineering team, Policy, & Legal to represent the T&S perspective in roadmapping & prioritization
  • Drive data analysis to further program strategy & narrative
  • Facilitate the strengthening of key relationships with communities of global thought leaders to bolster approaches & solutions to trust & safety on the platform

Skills & knowledge you should possess:

  • Bachelors Degree
  • 4+ years in a Trust & Safety role 
  • Great instincts for how to represent Vimeo publicly
  • Strong & clear communicator (especially across team lines)
  • Organized project manager who is able to successfully influence without authority to find consensus among diverse stakeholders
  • Strong ability to prioritize incoming issues in a fast paced environment
  • Analytical ability or experience a plus

Targeted Base Salary Range:  $86,400 to $132,000

The base salary range listed above is for candidates located in the U.S., including the New York City metro area.
