Hi, we're Oscar. We're hiring a Director, Corporate Strategy to join our Corporate Strategy.

About the role:
As a Director, Corporate Strategy you will play a critical role in shaping the company's corporate strategy, helping to determine the course the company will take to maximize enterprise value & growth. You will leverage their expertise in strategic finance & business development to evaluate & complete key initiatives, including M&A, partnerships, & other cross-functional strategic projects. This position is perfect for a strategic leader who excels at building robust business cases & translating complex analyses into actionable financial strategies.
You will report into a Senior Director, Corporate Strategy.
Work Location: This position is based in our New York City office, requiring a hybrid work schedule with 3 days of in-office work per week. Thursdays are a required in-office day for team meetings & events, while your other two office days are flexible to suit your schedule. #LI-Hybrid
Pay Transparency: The base pay for this role is: $192,000 - $252,000 per year. You are also eligible for employee benefits, participation in Oscar's unlimited vacation program, company equity grants & annual performance bonuses.
Responsibilities:
- Execute strategic initiatives including M&A, partnerships, & new business initiatives, from initial evaluation to successful integration.
- Conduct in-depth financial analysis & modeling, including scenario analysis, economic modeling, & financial projections to inform capital allocation & decision-making.
- Create & present compelling strategic recommendations to the executive team, detailing the financial & operational rationale behind major corporate initiatives.
- Partner with cross-functional teams (Finance, Legal, Operations) to structure & negotiate deals, ensuring financial & strategic alignment.
- Monitor market trends, competitive trends, & the healthcare innovation landscape to identify new growth opportunities.
- Define & track key performance indicators to measure the success of strategic initiatives post-execution.
- Serve as a key point of contact for external partners & advisors.
- Compliance with all applicable laws & regulations.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field or 4+ years of commensurate experience.
- 8+ years of experience in a corporate strategy, strategic finance, banking, or related role within the healthcare industry.
- Demonstrated experience in developing complex business cases & financial models to support major corporate decisions.
- Demonstrated experience directly influencing & advising at the executive level on major financial & strategic initiatives.
Bonus points:
- MBA or Master's degree from a top-tier program.
- Proven track record of successfully contributing to & executing significant strategic transactions & growth initiatives.
