Glossier is looking for a senior Product Quality & Integrity leader to lead a team of quality engineering, quality assurance & manufacturing engineering professionals within the Quality & Commercialization team. This position is a unique opportunity to expand upon the physical product quality function at Glossier, including defining quality processes, supplier audit procedures, manufacturing documentation & overall expectations of operational excellence to support each product launch & post-launch troubleshooting in mass production scale. This role will interact with many cross-functional teams from Marketing, Product Development, Packaging, Supply chain & Customer Experience, driving the message that quality is the number one principle & be in constant communication with Glossiers vendor base, ensuring utmost product quality for every customer across all channels & markets. This role will report to the Sr. Director of Product Operations. 

Six Month Expectations 

  • Conduct a gap analysis of current quality & manufacturing processes, identifying areas of inefficiency, risk, & opportunity for improvement
  • Develop a clear roadmap & strategy for optimizing quality & manufacturing operations, aligning with the organization's business objectives & long-term growth plans
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) & metrics to track progress against quality & manufacturing goals, & implement systems for capturing & analyzing data to drive continuous improvement
  • Develop & execute a comprehensive quality strategy that aligns with the organization's overall business objectives & supports its long-term growth plans
  • Lead the development & implementation of best-in-class quality systems & processes that support the organizations growth objectives while ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations & guidelines (FDA, MoCRA, EU & international).
  • Manage, mentor & provide strategic direction to a team of quality & manufacturing professionals, providing guidance, support, & resources to help them achieve their professional development goals & contribute to the organization's overall success.
  • Oversee manufacturing activities at each product launch & on-going production. Lead the development & approval of product quality specifications, standards, inspection processes, defect definitions & tolerance levels for each layer of supply chain
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement & implement new strategies & technologies to optimize product development, quality, & manufacturing processes, reduce costs, & increase efficiency
  • Establish process & lead supplier facility audits for quality & CSR (corporate social responsibility), reviewing adequacy of suppliers quality programs for existing & new vendors

Twelve+ Month Expectations

  • Successfully execute on high-impact projects identified during the first 6 months, delivering measurable improvements in quality, operational efficiency, & cost savings
  • Develop & implement new quality systems & processes to optimize manufacturing operations, reduce costs, & increase efficiency
  • Establish a culture of data-driven decision making & continuous improvement, leveraging KPIs & metrics to drive performance & identify areas for further improvement
  • Mentor & develop team members to build a high-performing, cross-functional team focused on quality & manufacturing excellence
  • Establish & maintain strong relationships with suppliers & vendors, ensuring that they are aligned around the organizations quality objectives & have the resources & support they need to meet these standards
  • Develop & present regular updates to executive leadership & other stakeholders on progress against quality & manufacturing goals, including successes, challenges, & opportunities for improvement

Qualifications 

  • Bachelor's in Engineering, or other technical related discipline
  • 10+ years of quality management experience within manufacturing, processing & engineering in beauty, chemical, or CPG 
  • Six Sigma certification preferred
  • Experience leading technical quality improvement initiatives within a FDA regulated facility
  • Demonstrated ability to build & grow a team of product integrity professionals
  • Experience in GMP/cGMP processes & documentation requirements
  • Quality tool knowledge in data collection, process control 
  • Self-motivated & proactive with demonstrated creative & critical thinking capabilities
  • Team player with strong interpersonal & executive communication skills
  • Schedule to support domestic & international travel (up to 15%)
  • Ability to multitask & adapt to a rapidly evolving product environment

In accordance with the applicable law, the following represents a good faith estimate of the minimum & maximum compensation range for this position:

  • The estimated annual pay range for this role is $140,000 - $175,000.
  • There may be future opportunities for continued pay progression based on continued strong performance in the role.Full-time positions are also eligible for a competitive compensation & benefits package that include medical health insurance, 401K, equity in the form of Restricted Stock Units, Paid Time Off, Short Term & Long Term Disability leave, & a range of other benefits.
