As a Podcast Social Video Editor you will drive the creative vision for short-form social content across the Vox Media slate & oversee the producers who make it. You'll align workflows & standards, build the content calendar, & steward performance & quality. You will ensure each shows social media output meets its unique audience while fitting within network-level strategy.

WHAT YOULL DO

  • Lead the video/motion production team responsible for social-first clips, motion graphic promos & still/motion image assets across all shows.
  • Build a content calendar aligned with episode launches, campaign pushes, guest announcements, trending topics, & evergreen show moments.
  • Define creative standards & aesthetic direction for each shows social assets, drawing upon a sophisticated understanding of branding & motion design.
  • Establish & refine production workflows (editing pipeline, asset versioning, templates, motion-graphic library) to support fast turnaround with high quality.
  • Oversee performance metrics (views, reach, engagement, subscription/episode lift) across shows, provide strategic insights, & drive continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with marketing & brand/creative teams, show producers, & hosts to build content strategy & ensure aesthetic & audience alignment.
  • Provide engagement feedback to the show team & drive the iteration process to ensure platform optimization.
  • Keep up to date with social platform trends, algorithm changes, emerging formats (Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, etc) & guide the teams experimentation & innovation.
  • Curate a library of brand assets, motion-design templates & edit-ready workflows for efficient reuse & iteration.

WHAT YOULL BRING

  • 5+ years of experience creating social-first video content & motion graphic assets for media brands, preferably including podcasts.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience (managing or mentoring producers/editors) in a fast-moving digital media environment.
  • Excellent storytelling & motion-design instincts; you understand how pacing, typography, graphic motion, sound design & platform context combine to engage audiences.
  • Strong editing & motion workflow skills (Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Final Cut Pro, or equivalent) plus familiarity with social editing tools & asset versioning.
  • Deep understanding of platform norms & performance best practices (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, etc) along with social metrics interpretation.
  • Experience building & managing a content calendar, aligning creative production with episodes, campaigns, guest announcements & trends.
  • Ability to define & shape aesthetic direction & branding across multiple show voices.
  • Strong project-management skills: prioritising across multiple shows, coordinating across teams, delivering high-quality content under deadline.
  • Excellent communicator, collaborator & creative partner comfortable working with show producers, hosts, brand/creative & marketing teams.
  • Portfolio or reel demonstrating not just editing chops but leadership of social video strategy, motion-graphic direction & measurable results.

PAY TRANSPARENCY
