Hi, we're Oscar. We're hiring a Senior Product Manager to join our Clinical team.

About the role

As a Senior Product Manager, youll play a key role in helping Oscar solve problems & accelerating your teams execution. Youll have the opportunity to work on a range of high impact problems related to how Virtual Care providers care for their patients, focusing on the full provider experience during a visit, including reviewing medical records, recording clinical documentation, & ordering labs & prescriptions.

In this role, youll join the team that is focused on Oscars Virtual Care experience from both a provider & patient perspective. Our virtual care offerings provide Oscar members access to providers for urgent & primary care virtually. Your focus will be on delivering exceptional experiences to providers before, during & after their televisits & ensuring they have what they need to provide high quality care.

You will report to a Clinical Product leader. 

Work Location: This position is based in our New York City office, requiring a hybrid work schedule with 3 days of in-office work per week. Thursdays are a required in-office day for team meetings & events, while your other two office days are flexible to suit your schedule. #LI-Hybrid

Pay Transparency: The base pay for this role is: $158,400.00 - $207,900.00 per year. You are also eligible for employee benefits, participation in Oscar's unlimited vacation program, company equity grants & annual performance bonuses.

Responsibilities

  • Define, defend, & execute on the vision, strategy, & roadmap for product investments that power platforms; implement solutions well-tailored to that strategy.
  • Define OKRs & KPIs to measure business & operational impacts, & relentlessly identify improvements.
  • Independently identify & bring together the right counterparts to solve a strategic or executional challenge, even when not clearly defined.
  • Independently problem-solve issues across teams & domains to quickly diagnose root cause & move to resolution factoring in trade-offs on speed, scalability & quality. 
  • Spearhead complex initiatives with ability to influence without authority. Manage timelines, cross-functional team accountability, & risk identification.
  • Collaborate with engineers, product managers, & operations partners to gather insights on user needs & ship innovative functionality that improves operational & financial efficiency goals.
  • Articulate crisp & thorough requirements & clearly communicate them across stakeholders, incorporating data & user research insights. Produce artifacts that junior team members can learn from.
  • Invest in strengthening the talent on Oscar's product team, by developing more junior team members through mentorship.
  • Compliance with all applicable laws & regulations.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • 6+ years of experience collaborating cross-functionally among engineers, designers, operations experts, & others in a Product Management or Product Management-adjacent role.
  • 4+ years of experience in driving rigorous prioritization processes.
  • 4+ years of experience with tech systems & understanding basic technology infrastructure such as backend services, database relationships, & leveraging database tools such as SQL.
  • 2+ years of experience leading complex, cross-domain initiatives.
  • 2+ years of experience root-causing ambiguous problems, building roadmaps towards a solution, & successfully executing against that roadmap.

Bonus Points

  • 1+ years of experience building clinician-facing experiences.

Pay Transparency:  Final offer amounts, within the base pay set forth above, are determined by factors including your relevant skills, education, & experience.
