Convene is seeking an experienced & dynamic Senior Event Production Manager to join the opening team at 30 Hudson Yards. This is an exciting opportunity to be a key player in the launch of one of Convenes premier event spaces. The Senior Event Production Manager will report to the General Manager. 

Convene at 30 Hudson Yards offers an extraordinary event destination across 72,000 square feet on the building's 24th floor, featuring ten uniquely designed event spaces, including a grand hall that can accommodate up to 780 guests. The venue can also host full buyouts for up to 1,495 guests!

What Youll Do:

The Senior Event Production Manager will produce large scale complex events for Hall properties, as well as support the other Event Production Managers in the organization providing guidance, support, & coaching to achieve exceptional results. The Senior Event Production Manager will act as the primary point of contact for the client during the planning process while also liaising with our on-site event, technology, & control room teams to ensure a seamless meeting event experience from start to finish. 

As the Senior Event Production Manager, you will:

  • Provide consultative & strategic guidance to clients, ensuring their event objectives are met through tailored solutions & expert recommendations.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for the client leading up to the day-of event.
  • Provide creative event design expertise, collaborating with clients to develop innovative concepts that align with their vision while optimizing venue capabilities & resources.
  • Create, implement, maintain, & enforce property specific policies & standard operating procedures.
  • Manage vendor relationships & logistics ensuring client expectations are met.
  • Cultivate relationships with strategic partners in the Sales, AV, Operations, Culinary, Marketing, & Finance departments.
  • Effectively communicate both verbally & written, with all levels of associates, clients, & all Convene departments in an attentive, friendly, courteous, & service-oriented manner.
  • Develop event timelines & communicate any & all pre-production deadlines.
  • Schedule & host kick-off calls with clients.
  • Prepare & distribute all room diagrams.
  • Work closely with internal culinary & service team to finalize menus & timing.
  • Work closely with internal AV team to plan the clients run of show & vision for events as needed.
  • Manage event data within the CRM system, ensuring it serves as the source of truth for program details, financials, & client communications.
  • Responsible for the creation of PEOs (Program Execution Orders), program diagrams, & invoices.
  • Conduct weekly event meetings & regular PEO meetings.
  • Conduct pre-event & post-event debriefs for our internal stakeholders.
  • Follow up with the client with any post-event deliverables.
  • Provide status updates to internal & external stakeholders on pre-production. milestones to ensure successful delivery on the day of the event.
  • Ensure accurate billing & transparent cost communication, managing add-on charges & providing clients with clear financial breakdowns throughout the event planning process.

What We Look For: 

  • Minimum 5 years in Hospitality or related industry, 3 years in Event Management.
  • Prior experience in experiential event planning & project management.
  • Comfort using web based collaboration tools including, but not limited to Slack, Salesforce, Google Suite, event diagramming platform.
  • Strong business acumen, effective communication skills & client relationship management.
  • Ability to apply creative problem solving & escalation. 
  • Ability to remain flexible & adaptable.

Base Salary:

Salary Min: $80,000  Salary Max: $90,000

This role is also eligible for Convene's annual incentive performance bonus plan.

This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums & maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience & other relevant factors
