The Senior Financial Systems Analyst is responsible for analyzing finance system business problems & implementing solutions within our tech stack. The primary system to support is NetSuite Planning & Budgeting (NSPB), but you will provide secondary support for other financial systems utilized at Squarespace. You will support the finance community by eliciting, configuring, & managing requirements & specifications. You will also execute a variety of testing disciplines (test plans, scripts, unit testing, & user acceptance) to drive development & validate results.

This role is both strategic & hands-on with a strong ability to communicate objectives, translate business requirements into technical solutions, configure finance systems, develop plans & deliver results.

You will report to the Manager, Financial Systems & be based in our NYC office.

You'll Get To

  • Partner with finance stakeholders to gather, analyze, & document business requirements, with a primary focus on the FP&A function using NetSuite Planning & Budgeting (NSPB) & a secondary focus on supporting financial systems around payroll, bank, tax & accounting as needed.
  • Translate business requirements into user stories & workflows, including solution mockups, with clear, testable acceptance criteria.
  • Conduct proactive research & investigations to identify corrective actions & opportunities for improvement. Then provide those recommendations to leadership for feedback, approval & implementation.
  • Deliver product configuration, report & integration changes in response to user stories, breakfix & enhancement requests.
  • Lead or manage small projects related to finance platforms as assigned.
  • Maintain up-to-date system & process flows documentation as required.
  • Deliver engaging, informative, well-organized technical & business presentations.
  • Attend daily standups with business SME's & Financial Systems team to provide progress metrics.
  • Train users on system best practices, emphasizing process efficiency & adherence to organizational standards.
  • Provide business-as-usual support, including but not limited to admin support for system refreshes, break-fixes, upgrades, & deployments.

Who We're Looking For

  • 6+ years of implementing or supporting finance applications with specific knowledge of finance accounting, planning, procurement & finance reporting modules
  • Must have strong working experience & knowledge of FP&A business processes, including planning & budgeting, forecasting & reporting.
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience in configuring, maintaining & optimizing NetSuite Planning & Budgeting.
  • Advanced proficiency in data validation, pivot tables & reporting financial data & analysis.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, presentation, & training capabilities.
  • Proven experience creating & maintaining process & technical documentation
  • Expert in business workflow modeling
  • Thorough understanding of GAAP accounting
  • Thorough understanding of version control, unit testing, & continuous integration practices
  • Willingness to expand knowledge across financial systems such as Floqast, Vertex & ADP.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience supporting planning tools such as NSPB, Hyperion, & OneStream.
  • Experience supporting ERPs such as Oracle Netsuite or SAP
  • Experience supporting tax such as Vertex
  • Experience supporting Coupa or other procurement tools
  • Experience with iPaaS solutions such as Workato or Mulesoft
  • Experience with Lean & Agile (Scrum) development methodology
  • Experience with data analysis language & tools such as SQL, Python & BigQuery respectively

Cash Compensation Range: $126,500 - $175,000 USD

The base salary for this position will vary based on job-related criteria including relevant skills, experience, & location, among other factors.

In addition to the cash compensation above (which includes base salary and, where applicable for eligible roles, may include on-target commissions or overtime pay), Squarespace employees are eligible to receive an incentive award as part of their total compensation.
