The Role

We are seeking an experienced Director of IT to join the Global IT Operations team. In this role, you will be a key leader responsible for implementing & shaping the IT strategy for the global VaynerX team. This role involves overseeing the technology infrastructure, managing the US-based IT team, & collaborating with cross-functional partners around the world to ensure the seamless integration of the hardware & software platforms that support our business.

Reporting to the VP of Global Information Security & Compliance, youll also be responsible for the Global IT budget & oversee the IT Procurement function, including hardware purchasing, software licensing & renewals, budget planning, & vendor contract negotiations. Youll work closely with the IT Support team in New York & Los Angeles to ensure all processes (help desk, onboarding/offboarding, policy enforcement, & more) are being executed at a high level, & youll work with our Network & Systems Engineer to design a modern & secure network infrastructure in our physical office locations. You should have a natural curiosity & a strong desire to find innovative technical solutions that have a positive impact.

Responsibilities

  • Develop & execute the Global IT strategy in alignment with business goals & objectives
  • Provide leadership & guidance to the IT team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, & continuous improvement
  • Oversee the design, implementation, & maintenance of the IT infrastructure, ensuring scalability, reliability, & security
  • Collaborate with 3rd party vendors & service providers to optimize IT systems & solutions
  • Implement & monitor security measures to safeguard digital assets, systems, & data
  • Collaborate with our Finance, HR, Legal, & Office Operations teams to integrate technology solutions that enhance business processes & workflows
  • Lead all IT Procurement functions, including hardware purchasing, software licensing & renewals, budget planning, & vendor contract negotiations
  • Own & be accountable for the Global IT Operations budget
  • Ensure a consistent IT policy approach for all VaynerX office locations around the world
  • Serve as a key stakeholder for any IT requirements for new office locations
  • Partner with IT Security on any cross-functional security initiatives 
  • Respond to escalated requests coming out of our internal ticketing system

Desired Experience:

  • At least 7 years of proven experience in an IT leadership role, preferably at a startup company
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing operations & associated technology requirements
  • In-depth knowledge of IT infrastructure & IT security best practices in cloud-first environments
  • Experience being part of a globally-distributed IT team
  • Experience in managing the IT help desk function, ensuring timely & effective resolution of user issues
  • Excellent communication & interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments
  • Strong experience in budget management & resource planning
  • An innate passion for helping others, & a willingness to take on new challenges
  • Extensive experience as an administrator for the following tools: Google Workspace, Slack, Office 365, & Adobe Creative Cloud
  • Strong experience in managing Apple macOS devices in an enterprise environment using MDMs such as JAMF or Mosyle
  • Experience with Microsoft Intune & Windows PC deployment & management
  • Experience with implementing Single Sign On (SSO) & strong skills with identity management & authentication tools
  • Some experience with A/V setup & live streaming town hall events
  • Familiarity with APIs, automation, reporting, & some coding experience

Salary range: $150k-$200k
