The Team & Role

SevenRooms is looking for a Senior Manager, Accounting to lead the management of daily accounting processes & financial reporting. The ideal candidate is well organized, possesses a strong attention to detail, & can thrive in a fast-paced & dynamic environment. This individual should be a self-starter, comfortable with owning projects from start to finish & proactively providing insights to our Finance Team, Leadership Team & key stakeholders across the business.

What You'll Do

• Manage monthly close processes, including but not limited to general ledger review, journal entry review, & analysis & reconciliation of P&L & Balance Sheet accounts
• Prepare GAAP Financial Statements with a walk to Management reporting on a monthly basis
• Act as the subject matter expert on Revenue Recognition guidance. Support all Customer facing functions in ensuring policies & procedures result in accurate revenue reporting
• Supervise Accounting staff & review their deliverables for compliance & accuracy
• Develop & maintain technical accounting policies & memos
• Own financial systems & financial system requirements for accounting, Accounts Payable, Expense Reimbursement, etc.
• Oversee external accountants for audit & tax, & ensure timely completion of third party services
• Evaluate & Implement process & system improvements where necessary, with the goal being to close the books as quickly & accurately as possible

Who You Are

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting & a CPA preferred
• 7+ years of accounting experience, with prior experience managing an accounting team
• Effective leader with a proven ability to build, inspire & motivate teams
• Public accounting audit experience strongly preferred
• Strong Technical understanding of accounting principles & GAAP
• Excellent ability to communicate, present & influence credibly & effectively at all levels of the organization, including executive & C-level
• Excellent ability to partner with technical & non-technical audiences
• Proficient in Netsuite, Microsoft Excel (including vlookups & pivot tables), Word, & PowerPoint

  • The salary range for this role is $130,000-$140,000. This is the range SevenRooms in good faith believes is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of the posting. This range is only applicable for jobs to be performed remotely in any US state. Base pay offered may vary depending on, but not limited to education, experience, skills, geographic location, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, & business needs. This range may be modified in the future. This job is also bonus eligible. No amount is considered to be wages or compensation until such amount is earned, vested, & determinable.
