Job Summary:In this role, you will be the senior project & operations management resource on a high-powered development team responsible for assessing the scientific viability of potential drug candidates & crafting the development strategy for new acquisitions. You will help create the initial development plan by integrating information across all functional areas & by assessing the operational feasibility of development plans. You will also be expected to provide guidance & support where needed for newly created subsidiary companies that are formed to execute upon the development strategy for in-licensed assets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for integrating inputs across development functions to ensure a comprehensive, integrating development strategy for in-licensed assets
  • Translate proposed strategies into operational plans, including timelines, budgets, & resource requirements; highlight key milestones & risks to Head of R&D & team members as needed
  • Ensure consistency & coordination across functions, including aligning timelines & connecting elements of the development plan to one another
  • Ensure that high operational standards are maintained across clinical program & drive operational excellence activities, including program & trial metrics, communication platforms, & process improvement initiatives
  • Where needed, provide guidance, support & execution oversight for newly created subsidiary companies


  • 10+ years experience managing cross-functional drug development teams or managing clinical operations for multiple clinical trials
  • Drug development knowledge across a broad range of functions & therapeutic areas
  • Knowledge of relevant pharmaceutical quality & regulatory standards requirements
  • Proven track record of project and/or operational support for successful IND, CTA, NDA, and/or BLA regulatory submissions
  • Consistently able to produce quick, thorough, & accurate work
  • Intellectual agility - able to pivot based on shifting priorities & balance multiple projects seamlessly in a fast-paced environment
  • Natural collaborator who enjoys working on a cross-functional team
  • Demonstrated leadership, communication, organization, & critical thinking/problem-solving skills
  • Undergraduate degree in health or life sciences is a plus
