Reporting to the Senior Manager, Consumer Marketing, this person will be a part of the larger consumer marketing team. We are a team of relationship-builders that hold ourselves to a high standard & lead with empathy for our consumers & each other. This is a highly collaborative position that will also work regularly with other teams such as product, channel owners, analytics, creative, & consumer insights.

What Youll Do

This role is responsible for creating marketing strategies that drive growth, engagement & retention for the Tripadvisor app. This person will be the hub of our app marketing strategy, overseeing key work streams like positioning, channel plans, campaigns, KPI management & reporting. It is a mix of strategy, product marketing, campaign management, media planning, & creative.

  • Own subset of Tripadvisors marketing strategies from idea to execution, anchoring all plans in consumer insights & measuring success based on app KPIs

  • Plan the owned & paid channel mixes & work with channel owners to create launch & optimization plans. This role will plan most heavily around email, push, site/product, paid social, & paid display, with testing budgets available for new channel support. 

  • Leverage a deeply rooted understanding of our consumers & their journeys to execute & own segmentation & personalization strategies

  • Write creative briefs & collaborate with internal creative teams to bring engaging & relevant communications to life.

  • Own a subset of app KPIs & work with analytics teams to uncover learnings. 

  • Live & breathe the Tripadvisor funnel, maintaining a deep understanding of the consumer journey & actively working to move people from awareness to conversion.

  • Create learning agendas & set up short & long term tests, in partnership with channel owners. Actively evaluate & report out meaningful results to key stakeholders to drive efficiencies & optimizations.

  • Research & analyze key trends, competitors, consumer behavior, & industry trends to inform strategies & decisions. 

Skills & Experience

Were looking for a consumer-obsessed candidate that is excited to drive end-to-end marketing strategies aimed at growing the Tripadvisor app. The right person for this role is a holistic & goal-oriented thinker, is creative & curious, is flexible, is experienced at creating strategic omni-channel plans & frameworks, & enjoys leading cross-functional teams.

  • 7+ years experience working in marketing strategy, with proven experience in app marketing, preferably at a commerce,  DTC, or product-driven company

  • Direct experience working on marketing programs for mobile-and-app first products 

  • You have a strategic mindset & are well-versed in the customer lifecycle, customer segments, & strategic planning

  • You are a strong communicator & able to earn trust & lead cross-functional teams across channel, product, research, & creative teams  

  • You are both innovative & creative, comfortable with experimentation & working with a varied channel mix to test & learn. 

  • Youve worked closely with senior leadership to develop customer strategy & execute on key priorities. 

  • Data-driven with a proven track record of tracking key growth metrics & turning them into actionable strategies. 

  • You have developed & executed compelling programs that come to life both through marketing communications, product developments, & omni-channel campaigns. 

  • You are comfortable rolling up your sleeves to execute things yourself - no task is too big or too small. 

  • You have experience working with culturally-relevant brands. 

The salary range for this role is $110,000. to $135,000. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. An employees pay position within the wage range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, sales or revenue-based metrics, & business or organizational needs. This compensation range may also be modified in the future
