As a Senior QA Engineer at Via, youll be responsible for defining, establishing, & developing our testing strategies to champion quality throughout the development lifecycle.
What You'll Do:
- Continuously improve testing processes, methodologies, & documentation to enhance efficiency & effectiveness; provide feedback on product quality & user experience
- Collaborate closely with R&D & Product teams to define & implement tests, analyze test results, & utilize metrics to improve quality
- Define & coordinate test strategies & plans across a wide range of testing scenarios & environments
- Implement automated tests utilizing in-house test tools & identify opportunities for streamlining repetitive testing tasks
- Conduct functional, regression, & usability testing of web-based applications to ensure adherence to design specifications & user requirements
- Verify bug fixes & ensure that identified issues are resolved before software releases
- Partner with cross-functional teams to reproduce & isolate reported defects, providing clear & concise bug reports using appropriate bug tracking systems
- Establish & adhere to Quality Assurance standards & stay current on industry processes, trends, & techniques
- Troubleshoot issues encountered during testing & creatively problem solve to produce effective, quality solutions
Who You Are:
- Minimum of 4 years QA engineer experience & QA methodologies
- Minimum of 3 years experience conducting integration, performance, load, & accessibility testing
- Proven record of success with API & backend testing
- Familiarity with testing in cloud environments (AWS)
- Creative problem solver, able to produce solutions for complex testing scenarios
- Excellent communication skills, both written & verbal
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while maintaining high-quality standards
- Detail oriented; meticulously documents & follows test plans & specifications
- Comfortable operating in a geographically distributed team
Compensation & Benefits:
- Final salary will be determined by the candidates experience, knowledge, & skills. Salary reflected does not include equity or variable pay, where applicable
- Salary Range: $130,000 - $150,000 per year
