We are looking for a highly skilled & experienced Lead People Technology Specialist to join our HelloFresh People Technology Team at either our Berlin or New York headquarters. In this senior individual contributor role, you will play a pivotal part in shaping & executing our global integration strategy across the HR technology landscape. You will be responsible for designing, developing, & maintaining integrations between Workday & a range of internal & external systems that power our People operations globally.
As a Staff People Technology Technical Specialist, you will serve as the go-to expert for complex integration architecture, data flow design, & technical troubleshooting. Your deep technical knowledge & problem-solving capabilities will be essential to ensuring accurate, secure, & efficient data exchange between HR systems (like payroll, time tracking, benefits, & identity platforms) & other business-critical platforms.
This is a hands-on, highly autonomous role that combines technical excellence with strategic influence. Youll be trusted to lead the delivery of critical integration projects, support Workday enhancement initiatives, & act as a technical advisor to internal stakeholders including HR, Finance, IT, Legal, & external vendors.
Youll work closely with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into scalable & future-proof integration solutions. Youll also help define & champion best practices in development, testing, & monitoring, with a strong focus on data integrity, performance, & compliance (including GDPR).
As one of the most senior technical experts in our People Technology team, you will play a key role in driving innovation & continuous improvement, helping us mature our integration ecosystem as we grow & evolve globally.
You will...
- Serve as the subject matter expert for Workday integrations, including EIBs (Enterprise Interface Builder), Web Services (REST/SOAP), Workday Studio, & third-party system integrations.
- Design, develop, & maintain integrations between Workday & other HR systems, ensuring secure, scalable, & efficient data exchange.
- Collaborate with HR, IT, Finance, & external vendors to understand integration needs & translate them into high-quality technical solutions.
- Drive the implementation of best practices for integration development, deployment, & monitoring.
- Lead the technical delivery of complex integration projects, including system upgrades, new platform integrations, & large-scale data migrations.
- Ensure seamless data flow between Workday & systems like payroll, time tracking, benefits, & other HR technologies.
- Troubleshoot & resolve critical integration issues efficiently, maintaining business continuity & data integrity.
- Ensure all integrations comply with security standards, data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR), & company policies.
- Continuously optimize integration processes to improve efficiency, reduce errors, & enhance overall system performance.
- Maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including workflows, troubleshooting guides, & support materials.
- Act as a technical thought partner within the People Technology function, contributing to a culture of collaboration, innovation, & continuous improvement.
You Have...
- 5+ years of hands-on experience building & maintaining integrations, particularly with Workday & related HR technologies.
- Deep expertise in Workday integration tools such as EIBs, Workday Studio, Web Services (REST/SOAP), & Core Connectors.
- Strong knowledge of integration protocols (e.g., XML, JSON, SFTP, FTP) & middleware tools or platforms.
- Proven experience delivering complex integration projects end-to-end, ensuring they meet both technical & business requirements.
- Solid understanding of HR business processes & their impact on data integrationespecially in areas like payroll, time tracking, absence management, & benefits.
- Familiarity with system architecture, APIs, & data security best practices, including GDPR & compliance-related requirements.
- Excellent stakeholder communication skills, with the ability to bridge technical & non-technical discussions.
- Strong analytical & problem-solving mindset, with a high level of independence & ownership.
- Proficiency in Excel / Google Sheets for data analysis & troubleshooting.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience with Agile/SCRUM methodologies is a plus.
- Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
