Join our dynamic Merchandise Planning team, where youll play a critical role in helping Glossier deliver the right product to the right place, at the right time. The Merchandise Planner will be responsible for driving sales & profitability through inventory discipline across our channels in a thoughtful & strategic manner. From partnering with cross-functional teams to managing risk, to surfacing insights that shape our weekly business reviews, your work will be foundational in ensuring our merchandising engine runs with clarity & precision. Six Month Expectations
- Learn the ins & outs of our planning systems & reporting tools (NetSuite, Looker, Excel-based trackers) & gain fluency in our product data & reporting structure
- Manage the weekly Risk Report informing the e-Commerce team of upcoming inventory shortages in the warehouse
- Create weekly & monthly business review slides, providing sharp, actionable commentary on performance trends
- Participate in weekly & monthly planning meetings with confidence, contributing insights & raising potential risk or transfer opportunities
- Collaborate with Supply Planning to flag risks & align on SKU level decisions across sales channels
- Support Sephora US weekly buys, evaluating SKU-level risk & contributing to channel specific merchandising decisions
- Start to finish ownership of 1-2 product categories, with room to grow based on performance
Twelve+ Month Expectations
- Lead long-range planning initiatives, including Open-to-Buy (OTB) recommendations for both new & evergreen products
- Drive strategic planning for packaging transitions & discontinuations, minimizing liability & optimizing sell-through
- Build trust within the organization & deepen your strategic influence across teams, contributing to process improvements & long-term planning innovation
- Full ownership of 2-3 product categories, including forecasts, replenishment, inventory/risk management, & sample planning
Qualifications
- 3-5 years of experience in merchandise planning, inventory management, or a similar analytical role
- Strong proficiency in Excel; experience with NetSuite, Looker, or similar ERP systems is a plus
- Detail oriented with a high level of organization & ability to manage multiple priorities & deadlines
- Collaborative & communicative with cross-functional teams including Finance, E-Commerce, Retail, Supply Chain, & Marketing
- Comfortable synthesizing data into insights & translating them into action-oriented recommendations
- A passion for beauty & an interest in how product, consumer behavior, & operations intersect
In accordance with the applicable law, the following represents a good faith estimate of the minimum & maximum compensation range for this position:
The estimated annual pay range for this role is $63,000 - $82,000. There may be future opportunities for continued pay progression based on continued strong performance in the role.Full-time positions are also eligible for a competitive compensation & benefits package that include medical health insurance, 401K, equity in the form of Restricted Stock Units, Paid Time Off, Short Term & Long Term Disability leave, & a range of other benefits.
