Since then, Harrys has expanded to Canada & Europe, developed relationships with retailers such as Target & Walmart, expanded our grooming brand into a personal care powerhouse, launched two new brands including Flamingo & Cat Person, & made our first brand acquisition with Lum.

About the team

The Global R&D Team is responsible for all aspects of product development from ideation through production. The team leads the companys largest product initiatives through the creation, development, & testing of innovative, high-quality goods that will be sold to & experienced by customers all over the world.

Within the Global R&D Team, the Program Management team is responsible for overall program scoping, driving cross-functional teams to define & execute development strategy, & ensuring all workstreams ladder up successfully to launch new products.

About the Role

R&D is looking for a Program Manager to help lead teams to create & deliver innovative & performance driven products for the company. As an R&D Program Manager youll lead cross-functional work streams & teams at all levels through thoughtful planning, execution, & support from concept through product launch.

R&D Program Managers are team players who are energized by working in a fast-paced environment, problem solving, & have a demonstrated ability to lead multiple work streams often with competing priorities. R&D Program Managers should have a desire & aptitude to dive deep into the details of the development process & lead teams in bringing amazing products to life. 

What you will do:

  • Manage R&D Programs in partnership with commercial & operations counterparts, lead cross-functional teams through the global NPI (new product introduction) process to successfully scope, develop, & launch new products in line with commercial vision
  • Work directly with product development, marketing, sourcing, operations, quality, finance, design & sales teams to manage development planning & execution against the companys largest product initiatives spanning from commercial to technical
  • Define development paths with input from cross-functional partners, track deliverables, manage development timelines & risk mitigation, & facilitate the day-to-day operational aspects of a program
  • Work with domestic/international suppliers & manufacturers throughout development
  • Lead project-level product development strategy; communicating updates to senior management & the broader organization
  • Help develop scalable systems & processes to support new launches   

This should describe you:

  • Bachelors degree with 2+ years in an analytical, dynamic, or process-driven role such as project management, product development, package development, consulting, finance, or supply chain. 
  • Self-starter who exercises good judgment & discretion with limited oversight.
  • Has a keen business understanding to be able to efficiently & effectively lead highly cross-functional teams spanning from commercial to technical.
  • Communicates well with various cross-functional groups as well as suppliers & vendors. Able to create cross-functional consensus with a senior, global team. 
  • Able to effectively & concisely present to senior leadership.  
  • Detail & process-oriented with an ability to create an atmosphere of accountability for all working partners.
  • Has a no task too small mentality with an eagerness to learn & address any issue that may arise.  
  • Resilient & able to meaningfully pivot with the shifting needs of the business.
  • Able to engage as a thought partner for development teams on new products or processes.
  • A positive outlook & sense of humor -- we take our work seriously & ourselves un-seriously.

  • Working on the R&D Program Management team, which is part of the Global R&D team
  • Working closely with Product Development, Package Development, Marketing, Sourcing, Quality, Finance, Sales, & Design teams as well as external supplier/vendor partners

That said, our salary ranges are based on paying competitively for our size & industry, & are one part of our total rewards package, which also includes a comprehensive set of benefits & our equity program. The base salary hiring range for this position is $90,800-$113,500, but the final compensation offer will ultimately be based on the candidates location, skill level & experience.
