Nooms Clinical Research team generates rigorous, fit-for-purpose evidence that advances our mission across our portfolio of health offerings. We design & execute high-quality clinical & real-world research that supports medication-adjacent care & behavior-change interventions, ensuring our programs are backed by credible science & aligned with regulatory, commercial, & product needs. Our work strengthens Nooms external scientific reputation while driving internal innovation & growth.
About the Role
As we continue to grow, were seeking a Clinical Research Scientist to design & execute rigorous clinical & real-world research across Nooms health programs. This is a senior individual contributor role responsible for flexing across evidence standardsranging from medication-adjacent clinical research to consumer-facing evidence developmentwhile maintaining methodological rigor & scientific credibility. You will translate complex scientific findings into actionable insights that inform product strategy, claims development, & commercial decision-making.
You Will
- Design & execute clinical trials, pragmatic studies, & real-world evidence (RWE) initiatives across behavioral programs & digital interventions
- Adapt study designs, endpoints, & levels of rigor based on business & regulatory requirements
- Execute research across traditional site-based clinical settings & decentralized/virtual environments
- Develop statistical analysis plans & oversee analytic execution with senior scientific review
- Identify & mitigate methodological risks related to bias, confounding, & interpretability
- Ensure analytic outputs are defensible for peer review, internal decision-making, & appropriate claims development
- Serve as lead or contributing author on peer-reviewed publications & scientific communications
- Collaborate with academic investigators & external partners on study design, execution, & dissemination
- Translate research findings into clear, defensible insights tailored to product, marketing, medical, & legal/compliance stakeholders
- Align research designs with downstream business use cases while upholding scientific integrity
- Represent Nooms research function in cross-functional & external forums
About You

You Have
- PhD with advanced training in clinical research methodology, behavioral science, & statistical analysis
- 57+ years of related experience designing & executing rigorous clinical studies
- At least 3 years of experience in an academic research setting preferred
- At least 3 years of experience in a corporate or for-profit environment (e.g., digital health, healthcare technology, life sciences) supporting evidence generation & claims development for consumer-facing products preferred
- Demonstrated understanding of the biological & behavioral mechanisms underlying GLP-1based therapies
- Hands-on experience executing clinical trials, including traditional site-based & decentralized/virtual designs
- Strong statistical expertise & experience overseeing end-to-end analytic workflows
- Proven ability to connect study design & outcomes to claims development & business decision-making
- A publication track record demonstrating methodological rigor & analytical excellence
- Experience securing federal or peer-reviewed grant funding
- Experience collaborating with academic teams & commercial partners
- Demonstrated success interfacing with product & marketing teams to meet business objectives
- Working knowledge of relevant regulatory & compliance frameworks

Compensation Package
- The US base salary range for this full-time position is $145,000-$170,000.
- This range reflects the minimum & maximum salary target for the position for US-based candidates, at the time of posting. The actual salary offer is based on factors including relevant experience & training, assessment of functional skills & behavioral competencies, & location, among others.
- Other elements of Nooms Compensation Package
- Noom offers a comprehensive & generous total rewards package. This generally includes a discretionary performance-based bonus, stock awards, healthcare, disability & retirement benefits, paid holidays & paid leave, & various wellness programs, etc.
