As SVP, Strategy, you are the strategic lead for planning, coordinating, & bringing our clients brand ecosystem strategy to life. The overall quality of the strategy work is on your shoulders, but youre up to the challenge. You bring leadership & expertise for complex projects that cross a variety of skillsets. Youre a natural leader who understands how to guide a strategy team through project lifecycles & across multiple interagency partners, but you also know how to persuade senior clients to take the risks theyve asked for (but are a little afraid of). You are very comfortable with data, emerging technology, & thinking across brand ecosystems, which means you can effectively articulate insights & strategies to multi-disciplinary teams comprising of creatives, technologists, & more. You live & breathe your clients businesses, know their competitors, customers, & key industry trends as well as (if not better than) they do. You are not afraid of a blank page or starting without a well-defined plan.

We expect you to have expertise in two or three of the following areas, while being willing to dive into all of them: brand strategy, media strategy, performance strategy, CX, social campaigns, integrated campaigns, & digital technology.


You Will:

  • Ensure overall quality of Strategy work across projects on this account.
  • Work in an interagency environment & deliver across all facets of Strategy (i.e. digital, social, media, etc.)
  • Partner with our clients CMO to deliver innovative strategic approaches to complex business problems.
  • Identify opportunities with our clients brand that they dont even realize they need.
  • Own the audience understanding & journey mapping, both today & as it evolves through data-informed feedback.
  • Apply that audience-first thinking to evergreen projects, innovation sprints, & global rollouts across markets.
  • Reinforce to clients the value of a strategic approach to their brand ecosystem.
  • Stay plugged into shifts in culture & our consumer, to provide thought leadership to our clients & proactively identify new opportunities for the brand to pursue.
  • Become an expert on client business sectors to identify business problems & propose solutions.
  • Manage a rotating cast of mid-level & junior level strategic contributors to specific subprojects.
  • Collaborate with other senior-level employees to identify the right casting for each project & adequate timelines for delivery.
  • Provide excellent team management & oversight on all strategic & CX work.
  • Synthesize & communicate the results of research to clients & project teams to provide insight & perspective on the clients strategic direction.
  • Distribute creative briefs to teams directed by strategic findings.
  • Connect measurement strategies to support ongoing & overall strategy development.
  • Focus on leading a single account, but occasionally supporting special projects, new business pitches, & initiatives within the Strategy department.

You Have:

  • 15+ years agency-side experience (digital & traditional).
  • 5+ years experience working within interagency environments.
  • 3+ years automotive experience.
  • Excellent leadership & facilitation experience within larger teams.
  • Strong presentation & storytelling skills, particularly for distilling complex ideas into simple, intuitive takeaways.
  • Experience designing personas & customer journeys with a keen understanding of content strategy, marketing, & distribution.
  • Creativity when it comes to research approaches.
  • Experience growing accounts organically.
  • An understanding & ability to design social ecosystems.
  • A passion for digital & staying up to date on technology & trends.
  • Experience developing proposals & presentations for clients.
  • The ability to quickly learn about new disciplines & emerging technologies.
  • A commitment to teamwork, collaboration, & learning.
  • An astute attention to detail & a results-oriented state-of-mind.
  • The ability to be flexible & multi-task.

Base salaries are determined during our interview process, by assessing a number of factors that include, but arent limited to, a candidates experience & skills relative to the scope & responsibilities of the position.
