About the Role
As a member of the Data Platforms team at DoubleVerify, you will enhance the development experience for engineering & product teams by delivering reliable data platforms. You will shape & optimize our core data services with focus on data warehouse technologies & platforms that enable seamless data movement & governance

Your Role
As a Senior Data Platforms Engineer, you will own the end-to-end lifecycle of critical data platforms, focusing on data warehouse technologies (Snowflake, Mongo, SQL Server, BigQuery, CloudSQL) & data movement platforms(Airbyte). You will ensure their reliability, scalability, & alignment with strategic objectives while enabling teams to work with data independently.
Your Key Responsibilities
Technical Leadership
- Provide expert guidance on data warehouse technologies & data movement platforms
- Collaborate with developers, infrastructure engineers, & product teams to ensure platform standards & best practices
Innovation & Strategy
- Champion DevOps practices, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), & CI/CD pipelines
- Contribute to the platform's technology roadmap
Hands-On Development
- Design platforms for seamless data movement from various sources to data warehouses
- Develop & maintain data warehouse platforms & data movement infrastructure
- Build self-service tools & platforms for efficient data movement
- Develop automation using GitLab, terraform any scripting
- Experience with Airbyte & Liquibase setup is a plus
Platform Reliability & Ownership
- Ensure scalability & performance of data platforms, implement monitoring, alerting, & incident response processes
- Optimize data warehouse performance & data movement pipelines
Required Experience
- 5+ years in DevOps, Platform Engineering, or Data Engineering with a focus on data infrastructure
- Deep expertise in at least one data warehouse technologies Snowflake, BigQuery, CloudSQL, SQL Server, or MongoDB
- Strong experience in data movement & integration Building or operating platforms for data movement, ETL/ELT pipelines, or data integration tools, deployment tools
- Proven track record implementing CI/CD pipelines & Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, or equivalent)
- Proficiency in programming Python, Java, Go, Bash, or equivalent
- Cloud infrastructure expertise Strong understanding of cloud platforms, preferably GCP
- Experience with data platform tooling Airbyte, Liquibase, dbt, or similar
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong basics in data warehousing systems
- Experience with Airbyte or similar data integration platforms
- Experience with Liquibase or similar database schema change management tools
- Experience with data cataloging & governance tools (Atlan, or similar)
- Understanding of data quality frameworks & monitoring solutions
- Familiarity with Kubernetes & container orchestration
- Experience with monitoring & observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, or similar)
Soft Skills
- Collaborative team player with excellent communication skills
- Passion for technology with ability to inspire others with customer-centric mindset
- Comfortable with ambiguity & able to drive clarity in complex domains

The successful candidates starting salary will be determined based on a number of non-discriminating factors, including qualifications for the role, level, skills, experience, location, & balancing internal equity relative to peers at DV. The estimated salary range for this role based on the qualifications set forth in the job description is between $111,000 - $222,000. This role will also be eligible for bonus/commission (as applicable), equity, & benefits. The range above is for the expectations as laid out in the job description; however, we are often open to a wide variety of profiles, & recognize that the person we hire may be more or less experienced than this job description as posted.
