The role you'll play:

You will be given the opportunity to produce digestible & actionable insights & track & monitor technology markets as well as the industry competitors of tomorrow. In this role you will help identify which emerging tech markets will flourish & which will fade, by using data & not your gut.

Your main tasks:

• Publish digestible, differentiated, & incisive research on our client-only platform.
• Analyze the momentum of healthcare & life sciences startups, tech markets, & competitive dynamics.
• Understand & develop prescriptive insights for decision makers & executives across pharma, biotech, & health systems, among other areas.
• Track tech markets & companies & develop an impactful research agenda.
• Develop & give client & prospect presentations to discuss tech markets & companies in healthcare & life sciences, across pharma, biotech, & digital health.
• Support PR requests & CB Insights events with data & category knowledge.
• Must be passionate & knowledgeable about enabling technologies (e.g. AI, blockchain) & related disciplines such as venture capital & M&A.

What you bring to the table: 

• Writing experience is a must can be within the fields of tech or market research, journalism, equity research, investment banking, or consulting in healthcare & life sciences, technology, or related areas.
• 5+ years of professional experience in technology research within healthcare & lifesciences or a related position (can be while working in any of the fields cited below), preferably in pharma, biotech or digital health. 
• Show a contagious passion for the material: Must be a startup/tech geek passionate about all things healthcare & life sciences.
• Ability to synthesize data & develop meaningful viewpoints & prescriptive insights
• Strong communication/presentation skills & leadership abilities. You should feel comfortable speaking to Fortune 500 clients/prospects as an authority on the business & the category.
• Some startup experience ideal, a thick skin & high tolerance for change required.
• Ability to multi-task & manage the details while keeping an eye on the big picture.
• BA/BS required; relevant graduate degrees a plus.
