Hey hardwarians,

It's time to get together again and discuss all things hardware related! We've got a fantastic new venue, Microsoft, that is graciously hosting our event, slap in the middle of Times Square. And we've got a treat for you in terms of speakers, so make sure you don't miss out!

Agenda:

5:45pm - arrival, pizza and drinks

6:00pm - Introduction

6:10pm - 6:35pmTom Kennedy and Stephan von Muelhen: lessons from building hardware at EnergyHub. Both Tom and Stephan were building some impressive energy monitoring systems for buildings, back in the day when hardware wasn't so hot, and they learned some pretty hard lessons. Come hear about their journey, and save yourself some costly mistakes! Tom Kennedy will also be talking about his new gig, Refactory, an ambitious new take on getting your PCB boards assembled, all in Gowanus, Brooklyn.

6:35pm - 6:50pm: Christina Mercando, founder of Ringly, will be talking about their new product line of connected jewelry accessories that connect to your phone and notify you of the things that matter most. They just graduated from Highway1, the hardware accelerator out in San Francisco and will tell you about their experience. Just remember, if you do go out west, make sure you come back to NY - we need you here!

6:50 - 7:05pm: KeganSchouwenburg, founder of SOLS, who will be talking to you about their 3D printed custom orthotics (shoe insoles), all done with an iPad, and er well, a 3D printer. Before starting SOLS, Kegan was the 6th employee at Shapeways, and built out their factory, and has an awesome story to tell.

7:05 - onwards: networking and eat whatever's left of the pizza. Followed by drinks in a nearby location.

Looking forward to seeing you all!

Haytham
