Presentations by:

Dani Simons,Director of Marketing and External Affairs, Citi Bike

Nic Haggart,Launcher,Lyft

Nic Haggart is a Launcher at Lyft. He and his launch teammates have been on the front lines of Lyft's nationwide growth, helping to expand the company from 4 to 70 cities in just 15 months. Nic has a BS in Journalism from The University of Wisconsin - Madison. In previous lives he's been a New York City public school teacher, a professional server/bartender and a semi-professional backpacker/world-wanderer.

Daniel Ramot,Cofounder and CEO, Via

Daniel Ramot is the Cofounder and CEO of Via, a smart transit system currently being deployed throughout NYC. He is a Stanford-trained neuroscientist who prior to Via built supercomputers designed to discover new pharmaceutical drugs and developed avionic systems for F-15s and F-16s.

Scott Kolber, CEO, Roadify

Scott Kolber is CEO ofRoadify, a data platform and mobile application for transit information. Roadify makes it easy for people to find out when their bus, train, subway, etc is coming and why its late if its not there. Roadify distributes this content via its own mobile apps, 3rd party apps, websites and public signage. Roadify is currently the only company with meaningful scale that provides transit information for display in the Digital Out-of-Home (DOOH) signage market-- on public screens at locations outside of stations.

Eddie Jabbour, Cofounder, KickMap

The KickMap was created by Eddie Jabbour, a principal at Kick Design in 2007. It was conceived as a communication design exercise to make the vast complexity of the NYC Subway System more comprehensible to natives and tourists alike. Posted on its own website, the KickMap quickly garnered very favorable response in the press and design blogs worldwide and prominent inclusion in eight books on mapping and information design.

Dan Jabbour, Cofounder, KickMap

Spurred by the creation of Apple's App Store in 2008, the NYC KickMap was transformed into a dynamic mobile app by Dan Jabbour of ThunkLabs. He turned the KickMap into a responsive map with an intuitive user interface that multiplied its strengths. Utilizing multi-layered maps, it presents the user with information like night service, on-map step-by-step directions, street maps and train schedules for every station location, push notification alerts, and GPS positioning.
