Depth sensing is an important add-on to conventional 2D imaging that brings more possibilities to AI & interactive applications. During the past few decades, depth sensing was expensive & slow. However, with the help of ASIC/SoC technology, depth sensing becomes fast, real-time, high accuracy & affordable.

You can see the concept of depth sensing in various industries including Robotics, VR, AR, as well as automobiles. Now, it will be integrated into mobile devices, too.
