Hello Wednesday by Orange Silicon Valley
Digital Twins - A Foundation For The Fourth Industrial Revolution
Join us on Wednesday, July 6th from 8:30 AM - 10:00 AM (PST) / 5:30 PM - 7:00 PM (CEST)
At the core of the fourth industrial revolution, or Industry 4.0, lies the technology to blur boundaries between the physical & digital worlds. As a result, every aspect of the supply chain is a candidate for transformation. Physical data is becoming easier to obtain & digital tools to visualize & contextualize data are evolving. When data collected from the physical world synchronizes with its digital representation, a digital twin is created.
The fourth industrial revolution differs from the first three, where single technologies drove profound transformations in industry & society. Industry 4.0 is instead characterized by multiple technologies connected into systems. The value of physical data harvested from a single component of a system is often negligible. However, the value of this data grows when examined in the context of the system holistically. Industry 4.0-defining systems maximize the value of connectivity & disrupt production & distribution globally. These Industry 4.0 systems rely on the telecom industry for connectivity & the connected systems of the future hinge on telecom's evolution.
What exactly is a digital twin & why does it matter? How are digital twins currently used in industry & how will this technology be used in the future? These questions & more will be explored in our upcoming Hello Wednesday event. On Wednesday, July 6, Orange Silicon Valley will speak with a panel of digital twin experts from the Digital Twin Consortium, ParkourSC, & others to better understand the fundamental elements of digital twins & how this emerging technology will shape production & distribution in the years to come.
We hope you can join us for this exciting & informative event.
