Sneha Keshav & Ana Garcia Puyol are the designers behind IrisVR, a company bringing immersive design reviews through virtual reality to the building industry. They've learned to navigate the uncharted landscape of this emerging technology to design human-friendly products within a virtual world.
In this talk they share unexpected challenges they face during the process of research, ideation, & branding of an emerging technology for a new industry - virtual reality for architecture, engineering & construction.

About the Speakers:
Ana Garcia Puyol is the Director of User Experience at IrisVR, where she plans, designs, & prototypes user experience features within the companys virtual reality software ecosystem. Previously, Ana worked as a Computational Designer at Thornton Tomasettis CORE studio, where she developed applications for Building Information Modeling (BIM) & the web. Before moving to New York, she did architectural design & construction documentation for offices in Malaga (her hometown in Spain), Chicago, Munich, & Tokyo. She holds a Professional Degree in Architecture from the University of Malaga & a Master in Design Technology from the Harvard GSD.
Outside of work, Ana likes to play the piano & do watercolors.

Sneha Keshav is a UI & Brand designer at IrisVR & is responsible for establishing scalable design systems that extend from product to marketing. She combines her training in Visual Communication Design & strategic outlook from the Masters in Branding (School of Visual Arts, NYC) to define distinct brands for startups with new-to-market concepts. Prior to IrisVR, Sneha worked with taboo-busting health & hygiene brands Tushy & Thinx.
In her spare time she enjoys marrying her love for colorful vocabulary & typography through ongoing side projects.
