Let's say you're an upcoming film director looking for seasoned actors for a new short film - or you're interested in guitar & wanting to make music with someone who knows production - or maybe you're someone just looking to be inspired.
In a city as massive as New York, it can be hard to find friendly faces & explore different creative passions. Some people are actively pursuing a new career, while others are looking to experiment with their interests. The biggest problem we face is where to look to find one another.
Passion Project Returns with our fifth & last mixer of the year on November 2nd! You'll get a chance to connect with other creators, throw out project ideas, & enjoy new company. We also have a super exciting line-up of up & coming creators who will be sharing their creative work through an immersive showcase half-way through the mixer. One of the most powerful things in today's world is being able to put your own ideas into action. Think more grabbing drinks (or not) & vibing with new friends & less shaking hands & passing resumes. We want to create a space where everyone feels welcome, excited, & heard.
This event encourages people with all types of interests & skill levels to come out, including film, digital media, music, fashion, tech, & more.
What To Expect:
We know it can be a bit nerve-wracking to walk into a room full of strangers but there will be plenty of friendly faces you can talk to. We'll be on aux playing some Latin/Afro/Hip-Hop tunes.
Halfway through the night, you'll get to experience our creator showcase, as local creators get up & pitch their creative work to you!
Expect to end the night with a new friend or two & maybe even a new passion project to pursue. Whether you're just starting out with your creative journey or are an established industry professional, you'll make valuable connections at this event.
Our showcase application is open to all creatives! If you are interested in showcasing with us on November 2, fill out this form by October 22nd. We'll reach out if it's a good fit. This is a great way for you to gain exposure & share your work with a larger crowd.
