Advanced AI is here, and it is up to all of us to take action toward a safe and thriving Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) future.
In this interactive session, students, educators, and leaders from the education field spanning generations move through plausible AGI futures. Well workshop through worst-case scenarios and best-case outcomes for the field of education in the United Statesinformed by previous expert roundtables and deep research from RAND, Anthropic, the Council on Foreign Relations, and more. We will then translate that insight into actionwhat education leaders and students can do to both prevent catastrophic outcomes and to design for the best of what AGI could enable: a future where humanity and technology evolve together toward greater human flourishing.

Plan A is mobilizing business and civil society leaders to shape a safe and thriving AI future. Plan A convenes society's leaders through immersive workshops to prepare for AI futures. They work on two fronts: future proofing (planning for the worst cases), and future building (imagining the best cases), by asking what we actually want our future to look like. This work serves public benefit and is philanthropically backedgiving gives them the independence to test different approaches to driving action, building toward impact rather than a predetermined structure.
Anew is a gathering space and discovery center for social transformation located in NYC. We host interactive events and workshops, an accelerator program for nonprofits, and a retail lab featuring ethically-sourced coffee and gifts.
