Join HydraEarth Network for a critical NY Climate Week panel discussion on building an inclusive clean energy workforce. As part of NY Climate Week's Environmental Justice & Energy themes, this evening event brings together diverse voices to explore how the energy transition can create equitable opportunities for frontline communities while meeting the urgent demand for skilled renewable energy workers.
The evening will begin with a cocktail reception, followed by an engaging panel discussion featuring leaders in climate workforce development, & conclude with networking & desserts. We will also feature a pop-up art exhibit showcasing environmental & sustainability focused art. Later in the evening, join us for an intimate discussion about how to get involved with our work.
Our expert panel will tackle key questions including: How do we rapidly train workers for quality renewable energy jobs? What models successfully engage BIPOC & frontline communities? How can the growing carbon market create community-based employment opportunities?
Join us to explore innovative solutions from hackathons to apprenticeships, & discover how policy & investment can accelerate equitable workforce development.
