DETAILS

No keynote. No slides. No panels.nJust people who give a damn, sitting in the grass, figuring out how to do more good.nAI is reshaping every sector that touches social impact climate, health, education, conservation, & capital. But the most important conversations aren't happening on stages. They're happening between the people doing the work: the researchers, founders, funders, advocates, & practitioners who are navigating real tradeoffs, in real communities, with real stakes.nThis is an open, informal gathering at Madison Square Park for anyone working at the intersection of AI & social good. Come as you are. Bring your questions, your skepticism, your half-baked ideas, & your hard-won lessons. Find your next collaborator. Start the conversation you've been meaning to have.nWho should come: Social impact enthusiasts. Climate tech builders & ocean conservationists. Impact investors & philanthropists. Global health advocates & humanitarian responders. Community organizers & policy thinkers. Anyone who believes technology should close gaps not widen them.nFormat: Open park gathering. Unstructured, facilitated conversation. Bring a blanket if you have one.nnHosts:nPaulina Muoz is the author of Do Good Capital, a newsletter at the intersection of technology, investing, culture, & social impact, rooted in a deep belief that the financial system is one of the most powerful levers for social change. Her path from international policy to investment banking at HSBC & now to venture capital where she spent time with Equal Opportunity Ventures as an investor backing companies serving low-income & historically marginalized communities has given her a rare, cross-sector view of how capital can be redirected toward the communities that need it most.nnAngela Ng is the Director of Business Innovation at Carnegie Mellon University, where she has spent nearly five years leading sustainability, AI, & innovation programs across CMU's global campuses. With a decade of international development experience spanning water & sanitation in Bangladesh & the DRC, maternal & child health in India, & disaster resilience across Africa & the Middle East she brings a grounded, field-tested lens to emerging technology. She is passionate about responsible AI adoption in the social sector & is actively exploring how AI can drive climate action, ocean conservation, & equitable access at scale. She believes the most important work happens at the edges of disciplines, not the center of any one field.nnnThis event is part of #AIWeekNY by Pulse NYC a community-led festival celebrating innovation across the AI ecosystem.
