What can we expect from the metaverse when creators of all kinds have 3D tools to work with?
This month at 5G Labs we're covering recent innovations in 3D technology, & for our next discussion, we're focusing on the adoption of 3D tools among consumers, content creators, & everyday social media users.
As 3D experiences, AR, & other life-like simulations become more regular parts of our culture, there is a push for the democratization of tools for 3D content creation. Whether it's Instragam & Snapchat rolling out features that make it easier for users to manipulate 3D objects, or platforms like Unity & Unreal Engine that help amateurs become worldbuilding experts, there's an industry-wide effort to put volumetric capture in everybody's hands. This begs the question, what can we create collectively when everyone becomes more familiar with these tools? What opportunities could that create for brands working with creators, musicians, & other artists?
