What is going on for May?
May's pizza crawl is going to be something truly special. For years, I've wanted to organize an AAPI pizza crawl, but there was only one Asian-owned slice shop in the mix. Well, that just changed - a brand new AAPI co-owned slice shop has opened its doors, & now we finally have enough to make it happen!
But we aren't stopping there. Since we like to hit at least three spots per crawl, we're rounding out the day with a mini dumpling crawl to go alongside the pizza. That's two AAPI-owned slice shops + at least two dumpling spots - all in one incredible afternoon.

Event Details
Date: Saturday, May 2nd 2026
Meeting Location: We well meet in South Williamsburg (near the Marcy Av stop on the J/M/Z stop) for the first slice shop. Then take the J/M/Z to the LES for the second slice shop. After that I plan on taking the group to 2 nearby dumplings shops for more eating. After that, if you still have room & want to do more exploring, we can go visit some popular spots in Chinatown for more eating if your stomach has more room.
Meeting Time: Start gathering at 12:30PM. Leave at 1PM for the first slice shop.
Length of crawl: About 3 hours.
Cost: Pay as you go. You are paying for your own pizza so you can eat as much as your heart desires!
If you want to eat dumplings, bring cash!
More details to be shared closer to the event date!
Giving Back While Filling Up
In honor of AAPI Month, we're using this crawl to raise funds for an incredible NYC-based non-profit: Heart of Dinner.
What they do:
Heart of Dinner fights food insecurity & isolation among Asian American elders by delivering culturally appropriate meals & groceries-packaged with handwritten love notes in their native languages. It's thoughtful, it's nourishing, & it's a beautiful way to care for our community's most overlooked members.
Want to Support Heart of Dinner? Here's How:
Whether you're joining the dumpling crawl or cheering us on from afar, you can still make a difference!

What is NYC Pizza Crawl?
We're bringing people together from all backgrounds through a shared love of pizza. Each month, we explore a different NYC neighborhood, sampling slices from four standout pizza shops. But this isn't just about the food-it's about connection, conversation, & community.
What sets our crawls apart is the focus on building new friendships along the way. As you savor some of the city's best slices, you'll have plenty of opportunities to engage in great conversations & get to know your fellow pizza adventurers. After all, the heart of this group isn't just pizza-it's the people who come together to enjoy it.
Rules for Attendees
By attending a NYC Pizza Crawl event, you agree to the following:
Be Kind & Respectful to others
Let's keep the good vibes going by being kind-to each other & to those around us. We're here for great pizza & even better company, so let's make sure everyone feels welcome & respected.
If you ever feel uncomfortable or notice someone acting inappropriately, please let me or a team member know right away. We have a zero-tolerance policy for bad behavior-anyone who violates this may be asked to leave & will not be welcome at future events. There is no three strike policy. One strike & you are out.
Kindness & respect are the foundation of this community. Let's keep it that way.
Open to All
Whether you're a local NYC resident, a visitor from another state, or traveling from overseas, we warmly invite you to join our pizza crawls.
Social Atmosphere
Our events are naturally social & interactive. Please come prepared to engage with fellow pizza enthusiasts & enjoy lively conversations.
Allergy Awareness
If you have food allergies or gluten sensitivities, please exercise caution when eating. Many pizza restaurants may have cross-contamination in their kitchens, so stay vigilant.
Event RSVPs
To maintain the quality of our events, each one will have a limited number of spots. This ensures that everyone has a great experience without overcrowding & long wait times.
When you RSVP to an event, you're committing to attend. We understand that sometimes plans change, so if you are unable to attend, please change your RSVP.
Your commitment helps us build a vibrant & active community. To be fair to others, repeated (2 strikes) no-shows in a row will result in being banned from future events.
