Speaker 1: Stephen Goodman from Mid Atlantic Bio Angels
Stephen M. Goodman is a co-founder of Mid Atlantic Bio Angels (www.bioangels.net), a life science angel investor group, & 1st Pitch Life Science (www.1stpitchlifescience.com), a public forum for pitches from pre-investment stage life science companies. He has mentored numerous start-ups through the Columbia-Coulter Translational Research Partnership, the Bench-to-Bedside Initiative of Weill-Cornell, Memorial Sloan Kettering & Rockefeller University & the NYC E-Lab for Life Science Entrepreneurship.Mr. Goodman is also a partner & co-head of the Life Sciences Group at Pryor Cashman LLP in New York City. His clients include drug development & diagnostic companies, medical device companies, clinical trial management companies & companies in other technology businesses. He has served as the chair of the Biotechnology Law Committee of the American Bar Association's Science & Technology Law Section & sits on the editorial board of The SciTech Lawyer, published by that section.

Speaker 2: Jason Park from Flagship Pioneering
Jason Park joined Flagship Pioneering in 2015 & focuses on life science investments. He is based in New York City, where he is helping lead the firm's activities in the development of the city's life sciences industry.Prior to joining Flagship, Jason was with the Boston Consulting Group where he was a core member of the Health Care, Strategy, & Technology teams. Jason led projects across a broad variety of topics, including early stage R&D, portfolio investment strategy, biopharmaceutical manufacturing, strategic & commercial due diligence, & global health. His time at BCG included wide geographic exposure, including years abroad as a member of the Mumbai & Paris offices. Earlier in his career, Jason was a director at an early stage biotech start-up focused on targeted drug delivery as well as the co-founder of an internet advertising firm.Jason holds a Ph.D., an M.S. & a B.S. in biomedical engineering from Yale University, where he continues to serve as an external venture creation mentor. His research focused on the use of nanotechnology for immunomodulatory purposes & he is the author of several book chapters & numerous peer-reviewed publications.

Speaker 3: Niyoshi Patel from Purdue Pharma
Niyoshi is currently on the business development team at Purdue Pharma, where she focuses on executing various acquisitions & licensing agreements for the company in multiple therapeutic areas. Previously she worked in private equity at Athyrium Capital & Great Point Partners, where she worked on investments across various healthcare sectors, including therapeutics, medical devices, & services. Niyoshi received a B.A. in Biology & a B.S. in Economics with a concentration in Finance from the University of Pennsylvania.
