EVENT DETAILS
Hosted by Stacy London

Biet Simkin is not your average spiritual teacher. She changes people's hearts through her explosive story, music & global meditation experiences. Hailing from a Rock & Roll background, she brings a completely different twist to the understanding & digestion of ancient spiritual truths. Having been raised by an awakened Shaman, & with over 35 years of study herself, Biet brings to the table a fresh convergence of youthful energy & ancient spiritual wisdom.

In her new book Don't Just Sit There! (Simon & Schuster), she explains how there are 44 laws standing between us & enlightenment & shows readers the way to freedom from those laws. In this event hosted by Stacy London (Activist, Stylist & former co-host of 'What Not To Wear') Biet will share her secrets behind the 44 laws & guide a Rock & Roll Meditation experience!

Biet Simkin knows that making your way in the modern world with a meditative practice isn't easy. Drawing on her wisdom from thirty years of spiritual study, as well as a hard-fought journey through addiction & personal tragedy, Biet shows how to move from meltdowns to miracles on the road to enlightenment. Don't Just Sit There! guides you to dive into meditation by teaching you to find peace in the midst of a fast-paced life.

With insights on 44 laws of human experience, this concise guidebook offers practical exercises & tools designed to help you become a modern meditator. Clear. Simple. Funny. Think of it as enlightenment for the rest of us.

From the Law of Conscious Suffering to the Law of Desire, experienced & novice meditators alike will benefit from Biet's frank, freeing advice on the not-so-peaceful side of achieving peace. As you confront the disruptive quality of meditation, you will deepen your inner life, live above these 44 laws, & find bliss along the way

Signed to Sony Records at the age of nineteen, Biet Simkin lived the rock n' roll glam life in New York City for years, until she finally fell to pieces as a heroin addict. In rapid succession, the tragic deaths of her infant child & father, as well as a fire that burnt down her home, propelled her to wake up. As she moved from meltdowns to miracles, she brought her meditation teachings to a global audience, creating epic meditation experiences scored by her own music.

Featured in Vogue, Forbes, ELLE & TIME magazine to name a few, & partnered with everyone from 1 Hotels to SoulCycle & featured at everywhere from Sundance Film Festival to MoMA. Biet is redesigning how people experience Spiritual awakening & meditation.

One of America's foremost style experts, Stacy London is best known as the co-host of TLC's iconic show, What Not to Wear for 10 years.
