Mobile Usability & Machine Learning
Mike Akers ofKinsa Health will discuss the technical challenges of using the headphone jack as a signal input for precise measurements (of any type) and how to overcome some of the challenges from changes to Apple audio settings and interruptions that can impact those measurements / signals. Mike will also discuss why/ how this approach compares to other approaches of communication between a peripheral and the phone including cost and technical tradeoffs of using Bluetooth, wifi, lightning bolt adapters, and even sonic technologies.

Peter Robinett of Lua Technologies will talk about continuously working to improve your apps, from using tools like Jenkins or Xcode CI for continuous integration tools to developing good documentation and test writing habits.
