The 5 Gyres Institute, in partnership with ecomedes & Silicon Valley Bank, is hosting a session addressing microfiber pollution -- the most ubiquitous type of microplastic pollution & almost impossible to remove from the environment once it's there. Speakers will share the scope of the problem, innovative solutions to curb emissions (from design to filtration), & how attendees can take part in solutions.
Panelists:
5 Gyres - Director of Science & Innovation, Dr. Lisa Erdle
Intrinsic Advanced Materials/Ciclo - CEO & Co-Inventor, Andrea Ferris
CleanR - CEO & Co-Founder, Max Pennington
Materevolve - Founder & Principal Consultant, Krystle Moody Wood
Moderator: Kathleen Egan, CEO & Co-Founder, ecomedes
Light refreshments will be provided. Donations to support 5 Gyres' research, advocacy, & community work are appreciated but not required to attend. https://www.5gyres.org/donate
